But then I spectated a game and seen "dgun charge".

Please do not derail my thread or claim that your renamed, moved, derailed, spammed and locked thread is in any way my attempt. Hilariously while being completely outside of your jurisdiction, you received a mere stern talking to - further reinforcing my fear that nothing has really changed for the better, except the engine code.Forboding Angel wrote:His previous attempt: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=33614
Dgun charge in BA makes it so that transported commanders temporarily lose dgun after unloading.smoth wrote:What are you talking about regret?
What I am talking about is that I am saddened by the direction the maintainers decided to take the mod, ruining what little was left that I enjoyed about it.
My whine is of course going to fall on deaf ears, monumental elitism has taken place in this community since I last visited. Not to mention the overzealous moderation of an inactive forum visited by a handful of users making few posts a month, but that's a new topic altogether.

so you could fire from the transport? I don't follow. Was it an engine or project change that altered it.

You've missed out on a lot of fun.smoth wrote:so you could fire from the transport?
The tactic was to transport your commander next to enemy buildings, unload him onto ground and dgun the base, then haul ass to transport again. What this change does is allow hosts to toggle whether there's a 10 second delay after said unloading before dgun can be used.
It's a mod specific change done about 1 year ago if I'm reading this correctly. I guess I'm just being nostalgic for an era long gone, returned to a carcass when I expected a bark.smoth wrote:I don't follow. Was it an engine or project change that altered it.

Not sure I believe that means it is the end of times.

So in other words, instead of doing anything useful, he throws a tantrum over a miniscule detail.
In fact, allow me to quote myself verbatim:

All this thread is is him trolling and trying to start an argument amongst the BAR devs and players. And the point of this useless thread is??? You didn't like something in an unfinished game and decided to do nothing instead of contributing because you prefer to throw a tantrum?
Re: So I wanted to work on a new BA(R) lualobby
well, it seems they took away an element he liked and he is being rather nonconstructive about it. It isn't a big deal to others but to him it is so he was making a fuss. It would have been better to see a more detailed post about his grievance instead of requiring someone to come in the thread and press for more details.
