Springs History as Cave Painting

Post by PicassoCT »

We paint springs history as Cavepainting. Only use colours that were available in olden times. The whole picture will get a rock texture background.
Only use the one your previous poster returned. Altering other peoples painting only allowed if it is historical uncorrect.

There was also a "lua widgets is cheat" period, then the various UI spam.

BA vs CA drama was also noteworthy. Mod vs Game naming schemes. Perhaps even mod in map trolling.

You have not really covered the beginnings of spring/

TA demo replay

Starwars and XTA were the first projects playable outside of his little musket guys demo

the massive flamewar over wether or not we should have regrowing trees

the great forum post deletion.

AA becoming king

SM2 gets nuked ALL HAIL SM3, many old and shitty maps are lost

SM3

CA starts

GPL drama

Caydr trolling his own fanbase

BA happens after caydr pissed everyone enough

SSMF

PURE commercially sold

SM3 removed from engine

ZK

etc

I mean that is some of it. I am not sure emmanuel's work really belongs that much in the history

You forgot EE smoth. Also the other notable things were commshooter and that one where you had heroes that you upgraded and fought like 3v3, also final frontier.

There is also the birth of springinfo.

The height of AA.

There was I FUCK IN SKY!

Lathan's blackswamp map and agorm's tree map.

Genblood.

Runecrafter.

Lol, there is so much history of this place, it would take months to write it all :-D

The great forum wipe was truly a sad time, cause it wiped out a lot of muffdvr55 and weaver's posts. That's worth a few sadfaces. Not to mention AF's bitching about his postcount getting wiped.

Wiki wars.

My original mapping tutorial and why it was a big deal (even though it really shouldn't have been).

Sadly, all I have mentioned isn't in order.

I didn't include Gundam, if I didn't include that, then why would I include EE? I loved fangs project but to somehow imply mine was lesser? Did I bother to detail the whole mapoptions work, or feature placer?

Nah

AA and BA are all this community cared about. They don't give 2 shits about anything other than what effects *A.

I guess I could have bothered to try and find out where DSD dethroned SPEEDMETAL but I really don't care.

Sure it does, because I as a caveman added it there. You can join us in our cave painting and add for example some gundams praying to a giant bandai statue, only to be hit by a meteorite.

It's about fun.

You forgot the Jouninkomiko lobby and Betalords introduction of tasclient, or that weekend where we had no AIs on Friday, and by Monday we have JCAI and NTAI, springinfo and springfiles creations, and iamacups arrival, Lichos arrival, the linux fork

( the spring logo was never meant to be a sun, Spring was not a season, it was a spring in a mattress/machine, SJ just picked a sun logo because it looked nice and everyone forgot about it )

like this?

Hop hop come hop in with all those other spring players!
b-but shouldn't we suppress this kind of fact? I beat it would cause a major traumation among the spring players for thinking they always played by the sun
just later to be figured out they are actually playing with a trampoline!

Yes... It is the tears of disappointed Sun/Spring-Spring players
where all those player collectively grouped together for a one massive cry
telling their feelings towards Swedish Yankspankeers cadaver which is RIP near of Cavedog (Caveman's best friend)

But maybe one day somebody will resurrect them ala Necromancy
which is the result of Frankenstein experiment and perhaps he will give out those Sun-Spring worshipper players a free Mattrress-spring-spring instead

All hail the Mattress!
