ENTJs are decisive. They see what needs to be done, and frequently assign roles to their fellows. Few other types can equal their ability to remain resolute in conflict, sending the valiant (and often leading the charge) into the mouth of hell. When challenged, the ENTJ may by reflex become argumentative. Alternatively (s)he may unleash an icy gaze that serves notice: the ENTJ is not one to be trifled with.

I almost want to argue this test is pointless but I always end up leading teams *sighs* just another afirmation that I will end up in managment. I hate managers, they never plan things out right... and I am no exception, none of my plans are perfect... damnit, this thing is brokenENTJ

I already knew this, but figured it would be fun to see if the computer program thought the same thing.

I'm another INTJ. Moderately expressed in every way.
I didn't like that test. All the questions are based on my perception of myself, and I really don't think my perception is correct.
And it's all huge oversimplifications.
"Do you feel comfortable in a crowd?" Well I guess... It depends on who's in the crowd. If it's a crowd at The Source: Comics and Games I feel comfortable, or a crowd at my nerdy school. If it's a crowd of people over 30 I'd be more likely to be comfortable, thinking that they're not going to judge me as harshly as people closer to my age. But I think of myself as socially awkward, so a "generic crowd" would make me feel uncomfortable I guess. I don't like just standing around in a crowd, but if I'm doing something and they're doing something I guess I don't mind.
"Do you like to keep things orderly?" I guess... I prefer things to be orderly, but I also think it's a waste of time trying to get them that way, so... I answered the two versions differently.
"Do you like to talk to people about your problems?" I don't want to keep all my problems to myself, but I think of myself as introverted (due to my aforementiond social awkwardness), so my first impulse was to answer no. On further reflection, I changed it to yes, because I like helpful advice from good sources, and because I like to complain.

It's not an IQ test, and it's not broken. If it has a problem the problem is oversimplification, most people aren't soully boxible into one category, however, it will pretty accurately give you the category you are most suited in, and if you read the descriptions you will probably do a bit of "oh, shit, that's so true". It's impressive in that most tests you answer a bunch of questions and the test mimics back to your your answers as the result. You read the profile and you basicly go "ya, that's what I told you" whereas at the end of this test it will tell you things about yourself that you really didn't imply at all.
There are also no gaps, people that just don't fit at all, it covers everyone. While you will probably read your profile and find a few things it says in it don't describe you perfectly, most of the things will be unsettlingly accurate.

Yes... Because the questions are based on what I think of myself, the answer perfectly describes what I think of myself.SwiftSpear wrote:There are also no gaps, people that just don't fit at all, it covers everyone. I don't know how accurate that perception is though. As I mentioned before, I'm not sure of exactly how antisocial I really am. Though of course right now I'm posting messages in an online forum instead of interacting with the others in the room...

What you think of yourself, the way you perceive the world, IS you. That is what outlines the way you behave and act. This is the point, to evaluate the way you perceive reality and from that describe your personality.Lindir The Green wrote:Yes... The guts of any person with an NT personality is that they prize knowledge. This isn't to say that they are all bookworms, different people exert different methods of learning and different avenues of exploring what they know, but they have a common shared ideal. Because of this innate ideal you will act a certain way in certain situations, it effects your world view, and therefore effects the way you interface with the world.
The point of what Meyers did, and now Keirsy has expanded on is to analyze people in terms of their innate ideals, and then from that information attempt to understand their outlook on life, and observe how it individualizes their behavior as opposed to people in different classes. As I already stated, the test is a bit oversimplified, I'd be surprised if anyone fit perfectly the description the test gives, there will always be some things that seem less accurate and some things that seem more accurate, however, the point is, you have a tendency towards antisocial behavior, weather or not it's currently a real trait in your life or not. People with INT personalities are comfortable with minimum social interaction in their life, and they tend to be uncomfortable in unfamiliar social situations, therefore they often tend to withdraw moreso. That isn't to say that there are none of them that are highly socially active and regularly participate in new social scenes, it's just to say that that kind of life style takes more effort for them, and it something that they are less interested in by nature. Some will do it because they have friends that are into those kind of things and they just don't want to be left out of the group, or it's a necessity for their profession, which they probably like for other reasons, yet are willing to take the bad with the good. The innate ideals a person holds say alot about their character, and THAT is the science of temperament psychology.

Most of these tests are fairly lame, though provide something mildly amusing to do when nothing else better is going on. What I dislike about these, its all positive make-you-feel-good crap, almost like watching an episode of Dr. Phil...
