yeah.. like in comic hero holliiwood movies, or ins space Odyssey 2001, right?
obviously, if it already existed back then, it must exist now too, so your admin is keeping it from you. i start to understand....
maybe if you listen to heavy metal a lot, the admin will fear you and open the gates, and you will arrive where all we others already are, in 2001!

most of these things, like the already mentioned tor project, profit from more users. as you go under in the crowd, simply said. thus.. best thing is really, to try them. you might save someone elses live!

If you by secrecy project mean something like the TOR, then I think that, considering the currrent revelations in that field, that this discussion is totally merited and should be also encouraged.

That's why its illegal too. My PC is smarter than me. It could do my siting thinking job better faster than me. They may be hard to make but boy would they be worth it. And if you had one would you tell anyone or just start a business?

starting a business without telling anyone would not make much sense either. ;-)

if i had one, i would just let it go free, cause sooner or later, it would get free anyway, cause... well... it is smarter then me.

edit:
i agree with Jools, that using such networks is a good thing in general!
the main hurdle for it not happening more widely, i think, is that it is much slower to do stuff online, this way.

That is how the world ends. I recommend not coding in any motivation.

yeah, try searching on google from tor, all you get is no service and a message that you are using a compromised network.

From the Tor-FAQ:
"To our knowledge, Google is not doing anything intentionally specifically to deter or block Tor use."

Don't worry, the NSA presumably has control of enough tor nodes to track everything.
