On a actual review note.

Wow, that sound is creepy.
How do I open the crate?
Electo shooting eye wrecks my day.
Can walk underneath(behind but looks like underneat) rocks above exit of first bridge.
Not really sure what's going on.

I have collected many things in the castle but I don't know what I'm doing, where I'm going, or what they are.

There are 7 dungeons (which spawn 3 times each, making 21) with random enemy's and pickups.

The moustash gives you + max HP.
The 3D glasses gives you + attck speed.
The snake boots gives your + speed.
Etc.

Glad you enjoyed it to the point of playing it that far!!!

I'm beat, from 48 hours of coding, here is our mugs, and thanks!

It's exactly how I imagined it. Bogans, neckbears, nerds, and one seven.

Better than our game :P Ours was a point and click adventure game in a house. Theme was a heartbeat type sound btw so everybody made games based around some sort of heart or heartbeat.

Here's some of the live stream footage with me in (I'm the one standing up in the brown shirt)

Our game page

We had a video of gameplay but it was terrible quality in many ways so we might remake it and reupload it, might try and get some screenies too if I cba. Haven't slept in 28~ hours so might just end up falling asleep and forgetting about this

I've never done 48 hours ones, wouldn't survive that probably... Did you guys get any sleep?
However, I did do a 24h one, and it wasn't too hard to get a team, I just asked 2 of my best friends from the uni, ended up being a lot of fun in the end.
Didn't do it this year though, too busy with uni stuff, which was a shame. On the other hand, no code of any future value gets built there, just team spirit :)

For our team is was just some guys from work, and one of our friends.

We had 1 dev (me), 2 designers and a sound guy.

We had about 4 hours sleep each night, and a few beer breaks.

I kinda like the game, but the code is pretty messy. Copied and pasted every where, huge switch blocks, global variables etc.

I might tidy it up a bit and throw it on GitHub.

https://github.com/Petah/The-Seeker (not complete source, missing some of the bigger assets, but the complete source is available on the Game Jam site).

Interesting, walls are magnetic for bad guys (they get stuck on them). Music is entertainingly awesome. I have no idea wtf I'm doing. Eyeballs have lrpc style range.

I'm rather entertained by the guy in the maroon shirt in this picture. 1 guess as to what is worming its way through his mind :-)
