Re: Kitteh?
I prefer artic foxes over fennecs but fennecs are still awesome.
Re: Kitteh?
I read some research about fox breeding (for fur production), and they found out that after a while some of the breeding foxes started to become tame, and those foxes also lost their pointed ears. Their ears turned into the more hanging type found in many dogs.Jazcash wrote:I prefer artic foxes over fennecs but fennecs are still awesome.
So I think any fox with those 'wild' pointed ears will be real difficult to keep as a pet. But they are beautiful animals. The arctic fox has the warmest fur in the world.

Maybe pointed ears are a genetic marker for being "feral?"zerver wrote:I read some research about fox breeding (for fur production), and they found out that after a while some of the breeding foxes started to become tame, and those foxes also lost their pointed ears. It'd be cool to be able to tell canines apart that way.
