was boring as fuck... it takes about 90 minutes to explore everything till the beta boss where you will be around level 10 and there wasn't a single moment of excitement.

I'll go with Grim Dawn and PoE instead

Well, I rather enjoyed it, and I am very excited for Diablo 3 to be released.

Diablo 3 seems to be love or hate for people, from what I've noticed.

well, normal is easy, and act1 is easy, so yeh, it's a bit too easy
PS: if i do buy the game when it comes out, i plan on playing it on hardcore (permadeath), since i had a lot of fun from realm of the mad god, if anyone wants to join me then give me a nudge

Lag in single player?

Yeah this game had both server and visual lag for me. No change in FPS by turning down graphics settings at all but it's a beta still. After watching quite a few beta playthroughs on youtube I was really disappointed how bland this game actually was, for me.

Audio is quite good, the gore is a nice touch, physics are goofy but fun to watch and this is all that was remarkable which is not much in my book.

I beat it in about 30 - 45 minutes. It was exactly what I expected from blizzard. Therefore, I was not impressed in the slightest.

It's going to suck dick until blizzard learns how to raise and lower area levels (a la Guild Wars).

You can tell that they expect you to play through these areas repeatedly. Could it possibly be more boring? After all these years and all this money, blizzard STILL doesn't know how to make an RPG that doesn't suck.

Path of Exile is made of win (FF10 sphere grid system <3) + you can get the beta now if you pre-purchase ingame currency ($10 minimum).

not played the diablo 3 beta but tbh my hopes for diablo have dropped. Imo Blizzard has been shit and a massive cash cow ever since WoW got crazy popular and all its current games are suffering the after effects.

yeh, it's a bit of a shame that you have to first do normal before being able to play it on nightmare (or other more interesting modes), as normal is as hard as watching a movie

As soon as they announced Torchlight 2(which I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned), I didn't even give diablo 3 a second thought. I'm not sure if I'm even a fan of blizzard anymore after some of the choices they made with the newest diablo like NO mods, you HAVE to be online, and the real money auction among other things.

Which is why I'm glad Indie devs can come save the day with awesome alternatives without the downfalls.

I'm not too keen on TL2, I didn't find that Torchlight entangled me for a long time but I'll prolly grab it anyway due to the low price tag.
