What about Apples
You ungrateful people should be thanking Apple for all the inventions they brought us.
There's the iPod (a portable music player)
The iPhone (a cellular communications device, try to remember life before that)
The podcast so you can listen to pre-recorded broadcasts.
Oh did I mention the iPhone doubles as an iPod? That's right, you can listen to podcasts on it.
Ungrateful brats.

Besides, apple wasn't the first to invent most of those, they just made a shiny package for existing technologies.
There were smartphones before the iPhone.
There were "cellular communications device"-s before the iPhone.
There were "portable music player"-s before the iPod.
Have a nice troll-free day

Re: What about voice commands
I don't think it's trolling when it's obvious sarcasm. Sorry for offtopic, had to get my Apple rant out of my system.
Re: What about voice commands
Who was ungrateful? I like Apple too, but I think they could have let the Siri work for us with earlier models than 4S (but why give something away for free that you can sell for money?). However, dragon dictation app has some of the same functionality and works for us all.
Speech recognition has existed before Siri, I was experimenting quite a lot with WSR and speech macros when I fractured my right hand, and in that case it really helped me. Otherwise, it's still easier to work with your keyboard imo, but SR gives you one extra 'dimension', you can do things behind windows in the backhground, and that's good. I use some macros to ccntrol VLC player (if I want to rewind 15 secs in a movie it's easier to say 'rewind' than to take the mouse and try to find the spot with the slider that was 15 secs earlier).
Still, a computer is not really smart, it only does what you tell it to do. So I don't thik Siri is really smart either (haven't seen it), but it has some nice interactions with wolfram alpha and was it google maps?
By the way, here's a WSR macro that let's you play Insult Swordfighting from Monkey Island with your computer

To paraphrase:
Bill: Apple's strategy works great...if you're Steve Jobs.
Steve: Microsoft's strategy works great...if you want crappy products.
