I read the set bonus is bugged and doesn't actually increase your defense.
Even if, the full set makes me emit glowing particles while moving which allows me to see in dark areas without having to use torches all the time so I don't need to decide between the miner helmet (1 armor, glows) and a proper armored helmet. Especially handy underwater where torches can't be easily placed, I've seen people learn that the hard way as they got ambushed underwater.

Looks crappy(2D ripoff of another game), not produced by any company I know of since before. I could go on but shouldn't really need to.

then why are you here

spring is a 3d ripoff of another game produce by a gaming clan you'd likely never heard of before

It's a nifty game. It's almost as fun coming home to see what the hell KDR has done to my world this time as actually playing. Plus I usually get free loot in the process :D

How is something a ripoff when it operates in a different dimension?

I guess the fact you fight monsters is ripped off. Or the crafting of items part, or having hearts as display for health, or the mushrooms it has, it has iron ore that is surely ripped off too, diamonds ditto, you can construct buildings out of blocks, it has dirt and stone too, man this game is a complete ripoff. Wait, all of those were already used in other games ad infinitum.

What makes you feel about the game this way?

I've been hosting one daily (except for today, because my brother and I are both at work) but I don't leave it running 24/7. Apparently I'm not the greatest host ever since I only have ~512 kbps effective upload, but we've had 4 people at once without too much trouble, although that's counting myself and my brother :P

It is more of a mashup of Zelda II, Minecraft and Gradius/Lifeforce game concepts than it is a direct clone of any one of them. The art is generally cohesive and coherent, which is more than I can say for most 3D games. The use of foreground and background in defining play space is rather fun.

You could go on, but you're not really saying anything.

Meh. My phoenix blaster does 28 base damage (uses musket ammo so ammo damage adds 7 or 9) at very high speed and the basic bullets cost only 6 copper. I can get 1666 bullets for a gold coin, almost 60k damage worth of firepower.

Oh and star cannon? 75 damage, pierces through enemies, uses fallen stars as ammo.

You should rather ask yourself if you can spare the time you will be spending on it. :)
