Re: Game of thrones
I love the books, and so far the show is very very good.
Re: Game of thrones
i've read some of those before, i bet it was the same ones!some books by some author
this show is awesome, lots of titties. its only based on one book "a song of ice and fire". the pace of the book lends itself well to a movie/show application and i feel is the strongest aspect of the tale overall.
anyways the guy who writes the books is all "hnnggg im slow"; it was about 5 years since i read book #4 in the series and he STILL hasn't released #5. what a lazy jackass.

As it happens, I have been reading (well, listening really) A Song of Ice and Fire past few weeks and it's been quite entertaining. Didn't know they were making a TV series, need to check it out. I can definently recommend the books though.
Re: Game of thrones
TBH after seeing 2 episodes I think ima start reading the books.
Re: Game of thrones
don't do it. wait 15 years or so for him to finish the other two

Re: Game of thrones
The TV series will be based on the whole series of books its only the title that is the first book, the first season based on "A Game of Thrones", the next on the next book etc.KaiserJ wrote:i've read some of those before, i bet it was the same ones!some books by some author

Re: Game of thrones
ohhh... wat? so they're making the show of all of the books even though he's not done writing the book series? bizarre
Re: Game of thrones
Wasn't Harry Potter handled in the same way?KaiserJ wrote:ohhh... wat? so they're making the show of all of the books even though he's not done writing the book series? bizarre
afaik, the first movies were out before the last book was written...
Re: Game of thrones
I really liked the first 2 episodes, lots of tits and violence, just the way i like my fantasy.
Re: Game of thrones

Re: Game of thrones
just finished the second ep, seems legit.. im thinking 7/10 at the moment (I give the first ep a 6/10 so its looking up)
Re: Game of thrones
So should I read the books afore I watch this? I have yet to see one book adaptation that has not followed the traditional premise of "shit on the core plot points of the book from great heights, remove as much depth and complexity as we can".
