ftp (1 account for free hosting)

really nice so far.
only trouble i have is that sometimes ftp times out. ie when browsing through folders or when uploading it gets disconnected sometimes but maybe something on my side is wrong here.

Google App Engine has it's own hosting of sorts, you have to build your stuff with their api and if you go over a certain number of page views they cut you off unless you pay... but that's like 5 million page views a month... if you are looking for somewhere to host files than that's a different story.

Dreamhost is quite nice. Unlimited everything. http://www.dreamhost.com ($10 bucks a month)

If you use this promo code:

048049844812

You'll get 15 bucks off of a 1 year subscription or $100 off of a 2 year subscription (that's pretty much almost an entire year for free).
