I can't tell you how many hundreds of times steam has had the best price anywhere else on a game. The market works through sales, and sales are company independent, usually a company will lose a small amount of money on a sale, so even though valve is selling the orange box through steam, they will not have the lowest price on it 100% of the time. Just 95% of the time.

Even horrendous participants like future shop and best buy occasionally have the best price on something.

If you allready have source games you wont notice this I happen to have no source games and I downloaded free portal.
With the free portal version you cant install the source sdk in steam, so you cant use source mods.
I you dont belive me google "free portal source sdk".

If you dont have any source games dont dl portal to play source mods it wont work.
