I currently have the windows 7 RC and I need to get the final release (I haven't booted into windows for a while so I haven't needed to resolve this). I don't have another version of windows to downgrade to.
Will the upgrade edition, specifically the student upgrade edition for windows 7, work with windows 7 RC? Anyone have experience with this situation?

Re: upgrading from windows 7 rc
You are a student? Okay well first log into your university filesharing network and acquire windows 7 ultimate. then back up, format, and do a fresh install.
windows upgrading is pretty aweful. if you dont care about your computer being slow as fuck then you will have to edit your installation image to allow upgrading from rc. dont remember what file it is but google is your friend.
