Just finished watching "Chronicle". The trailer was very promising though knowing better I didn't expect too much from a teenage summer blockbuster. Well, turns out the trailer didn't lie. Yes, it is a bit clichee but I enjoyed it very much nevertheless. It won't change your life and its a good way to spend an evening.

Watch "Shame".
Great acting and great directing.
IMO could easily be the best film in 2011.
Don't know why it's not more popular.Maybe because its so carnal.

Dark knight rises....
OMFG the hype on this one...
It got a 9.0 on IMDB people saying its the best movie in the history of cinema...

Here is what i think.
I think the acting was fine.
I think the characters, especially bane, had a lot of appeal and were visually designed great but the script was horrid.
It was unnecessarily overcomplicated in a way that detracted from the movie.
I do not mean that it was hard to understand what was going on but that the plot felt all over the place trying to bite at the viewers attention from all sides.
There were too many plot holes because there was not enough time to give a proper explanation with so many different characters needing attention.

EDITED

Spoilers:

We never actually know where Bane came from except that he was in that hole.
In fact everything about that prison in the plot is just outright silly.
Why was bane in there?
Why did he decide to defend the girl?
Why did he suddenly get free reign of the prison later on and seemed to be able to do whatever he wanted there?
The fact Bane became part of the league of shadows is just boring and the obsession to the child who he kept following without question was just another huge plot hole.
Marion Cotilard's motivations were also badly explained.
Yes, we know her background but here there are plot holes again...
She is super rich and the only way she could think of of blowing up Gotham is by inventing a new energy source and than turning it into a small nuclear bomb?Just ridiculous.
To me, some of the motivations and explanations of the characters felt rushed.
What about the scarecrow...Why would he be the judge? Just ridiculous.
Meh, the second movie was much more focused and to the point despite the joker's elaborate plans and twisting.
I'd give this movie a 7.8 mostly because of the character design, especially Bane's character design.

If the movie would have focused on Bane versus Batman As oppose to adding both catwoman and ras al ghouls daughter while also having these tiresome melodramatic scenes with Albert and Bruce about his retirement(this plot line was also badly designed IMO) etc....

IMO catwoman, the fusion reactor and Bane's prison could have all been removed.
The the comics Bane volunteers to undergo some experiments as a prisoner making him into this super soldier of sorts while having to use the toxin.
Thats what should have happened in the plot with small changes.
After torturous prison time(he was innocent or the crime did not fit the punishment) and involuntary experimentation he, now a madman, comes to Gothem to inflict torture onto others.Make others suffer as he suffered. He hates the world and only wishes to cause its inhabitants as much suffering as possible.Mental and physical suffering(during the film he should act in a way that makes him truly seem evil not in a nice way but in a way that truly makes him look like an evil bastard to who the audience cannot in any way relate or like until we find out his story, as oppose to the actual film where bane kills but does it in a "cool" way, offing only characters we care nothing about like his own henchmen or other baddies ,which makes the audience like him).
Al gul's duaghter could have "adopted" him at some stage before the movie's plotline and used him For her own motives while also playing Batman despite also developing feelings for him.
Whatever plot change should have occurred one thing was clear.Bane should have gotten way more screen time.
The truth about Who has been playing both characters behind the scenes would than be revealed at the end of the movie leaving bane even more disillusioned and a tragic character as he was now also used by the only person he trusted and loved.by batman's hand or by his own he eventually dies an empty death(the audience now has mixed feelings towards him).
Than after certain events take place bruce will eventually sacrifice Miranda's life and his own to save gotham.

What exactly Miranda and Bane do to destroy Gothem matters not as long as its not as far fethced as it is in the movie.
The whole thing about making Gothem have hope before squashing it was nice but should have been more evident and exposed through out the film's events.

In general Every few minutes the movie presents some new plot hole or completely unrealistic events.

On the contrary I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you go to a theatre expecting the movie you are about to see to suck. It will.

Stop taking yourself so seriously. Also, aren't you supposed to be banned?

I didnt go to see it expecting it to suck...
I saw IMDB score (a freaking 9.0!!) and thought it was gonna be amazing.
All i expected was the same attention to detail as was given in the second.
Why are you making this personal anyway? Were you part of the production or something?
I was just giving my opinion of the movie which i thought did not at all deserve some of the amazing praise it is getting.

I've always liked "The Hobbit", the old animated movie and the book. I can't wait to see the new movie.

Wyatt Earp is great, if you like rather slow western movies.

Watched "Sword of the Stranger" last night. It's a pretty average movie on the whole, but the climatic sword fight at the end is by far one of the better anime fight sequences I've seen. Maybe not worth the whole movie, but if that kinda thing is your bag, it is definitely worth the watch.
