Here you can put them in front of your house and nobody takes them
Better color reproduction for graphics stuff.

at least to price-point ratio...

I also hate being tied to a specific pixel size... though now that I have 1920x1200 screen on my laptop I've decided that I wouldn't mind one for my PC... so the problem I have with fixed resolutions monitors is that they need to be really high res and high color-depth (including good black) to look as good as CRT

The colors probably still look better on a crt but they start getting unsharp.
We had two in the cellar and the picture was horrible, very unsharp, the older they get the more unsharp they get.

Yeah, my lappy resolution is 1920x1200 and I get the same responses from everyone I meet:

1)Upon initially seeing the screen: "Why is everything so small! How do you manage that?"

2)After seeing me actually work on the computer, and stacking 2 full windows side-by-side and being able to view everything, as if I had 2 monitors: "That is awesome!"

I can only imagine 2 1920x1200 monitors would be AMAZING.

EDIT: The downside is that my Quadro video card (essentially a GeForce 7400 Go) sucks, and I can't play any game made after ~2002 at native resolution, so gaming looks blurry. I'm currently playing Deus Ex, and that works well at native res. Looks so sharp, it makes me sad to have to go back to playing other games at (much) lower resolutions.

It's a Latitude D820. Approaching 4 years old now. It's served me well, but as soon as a graduate in 3 months I'm buying a replacement.

As someone who doesn't drink I always find it interesting how tied together drinking and computer use is in those that do.

its not just a computer desk, its a working office, a theatre, a hotel, and a champagne room!

also the underside of a bridge.

but seriously the bottles and stuff are there from watching tv and movies on the weekend; i dont have the patience to go online when im drunk... the oregano however is another matter entirely.

I think it is more that sitting and drinking are closely linked. At least, that is what I've observed.

Games and drugs go hand in hand nicely.

Depends on the drugs. It appears that soft drugs go together with everything.

Yes but you should have one hand free for the joint.
FPS games and smoking doesnt go well together.

WOW addicts are often weed addicts (a dangerous combination)
You dont leave the basement for days, you play and get high the whole time.

nice clean desk; i know a certain cat who would love the dangly phone cord.

hmm... i smoke pot outside sometimes and then come in to play games; i would have to say that smoking pot is a non-issue in terms of how well i play... boozing on the other hand, i epically fail after two beers.
