Isn't changing your mac address on some systems a 1 line command? Do it as a way of beating the script kiddies who downloaded the wep hacktool, but don't expect it to make your router impervious. Its a simple protection that's easily undone by anyone who knows to look for it.

Sigh, the point is, my router is 2 feet from me. Good luck spoofing for more than a few minutes anything you can't physically access.

BTW you dont use either MAC or WEP, infact you dont use WEP at all its shit, you use combination of MAC adress filtereing and WPA encryption. To be extra safe.

'cept mac shifting will probably be nothing for someone with the cpu power and knowledge to crack your wpa.
