I really don't know...
What exactly is this law going to do? Is it a law? Details are suspiciously sketchy. either way, I don't think the American (or any other nation, for that matter) people wold tolerate something like this. It'll probably die right here.

also: two clicks from the youtube video, I found this
I actually didn't watch the video, will do tomorrow.
EDIT: the comments are filled with paranoid conservatives. More lol for me!

"OneWorldScam.com" is not a reliable source and there is nothing on any other news source I can find about this.

Don't they already do that at borders randomly? Just encrypt the hell out of your important bits, eh. All of the crazy conspiracy noobs haha, this won't happen to any huge extent.

read exceptions, PC searchers are permitted.

For all of the paranoidal geeks out there, truecrypt is the option, or even make it easier, just take out your hard drive from the laptop and put it into you pocket, the amount of metal in the harddrive will not trigger the metal detectors.

Or if you are completely paranoid, get 2-3 micro-SD flashes, its impossible to find them.

Didn't they release a law that they could search your house and everything in it if they thought you were a terrorist after 9/11.

Like zomg he has a suspicious bag and is Muslim, he must be a terrorist

No matter how many laws they pass, nothing short of an amendment to the Constitution will allow them to look at my comp without a warrant!

It's not really about whether they can (or can't) do something because the law says so. It's about having that law available to point out, after they do it.

Pass enough laws, and, well...

...and this is why Civics is taught in school.

Someone needs to develop brain storage so we can remember this stuff when we need to, rather than having to truecrypt everything :P .

what if they do find "illeagal content" do they keep you're mp3 player/laptop or just delete it? this fails almost as much as internet censorship in australia when they finaly get it up and running.
