Whats your favorite Civ game?Civ1 Civ2 ,alpha centauri or maybe something not of sid's?like call to power.

Galactic Civillization II or Civ4

Civ4 is quite awesome. I love how it's still a lot like Civ1 even after all this time.

Yeah?I kinda find civ4 uninspired especially after playing call to power.
The late game in civ is really not so fun cause u have tons of cities to micro...
In call to power there is an empire managment system.
I suppose orion 2 was also v good but had the same issue with managing everything in late game.

Gal civ II is the most overrated game in forever.

Oddly enough, even though I really enjoyed it I can see where your coming from.

Civ3 conquest and play the world were the best civs ever...

You're saying the recent Colonization remake is bad? I love the original but I haven't tried the new one, but it looks like Civ4 so I assumed would be awesome.

the graphics are really nice (coz of civ4-engine), but i find the macro-stuff to easy and u could drill all ur free settlers in the indian village (in old colo u could do that just one time per village), also building of streets dont need 20 tools (the settlers have unlimited tools, it just csts money), is was really disappointed when i played it

master of magic is still awesome, would love to see a fixed up version with real multiplayer

Have any of you tried the "Fall from Heaven" mod for Civ 4 Beyond the Sword? It's an amazing total conversion to turn civ into a fantasy realm, with goblins, lizardmen, dwarves, magic and dragons. It really has to be played ot believe how much work has gone into it. There's soemthing like 14 different races and they're each far more unique than the civ stuff. Personally, I like the civ that get's vampires - eat your own city population to grant them experience :-D

I wonder how The announced Civ V will play now that Take Two acquired Firaxis.
