Now, I'll bet a thread like this has been done before, but since I didn't see it on page 1, I stopped looking. 8)

Anyways I just build a new PC: tell me how well it can run Spring please!

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Quad 2.4 Ghz (I think...)
Motherboard: ASUS P5N
Graphics Card: XFX Nvidia 9600 GT (does this have the problems that the 8800 does?)
Memory: 2 x 2GB DDR2 1200
Internet: 10 Mbps (going to get 15 Mbps soon.)
OS: Dual Boot Windows XP/Vista (and perhaps ubuntu, because I hate Micro$oft.)

So can I host games with a frame rate better then 6 fps?
What do you think I'll get?

OS: Windows XP

i can run spring at 60 FPS (With vsync set on 60) with rarely any drops shadows on max and dynamic water on and all other settings max

CPU: Athlon XP 2600+ (stock 1.9GHz. running at 2.2GHz)
Motherboard: ASUS A7V8X-X
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT 256MB (stock 560/1400, running at 640/1680)
Memory: 1.5GB PC3200 DDR
Internet: 5mbit/1mbit
OS: Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron

Runs well (hits vsync fps on decent settings @ 1600x1200)

CPU: Athlon XP 2600+
Motherboard: Biostar M7VIG 400
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200
Memory: 512MB PC2700 DDR
Internet: 5mbit/1mbit
OS: Windows XP Professional SP3

Runs alright on smaller games (maintains 30+fps @ 1024x768)

CPU: Pentium M 1.85ghz
Motherboard: Acer Garda-910
Graphics Card: Intel 915GM
Memory: 512MB PC3200 DDR
Internet: 5mbit/1mbit + 10mbit + .5mbit
OS: Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy Heron

Runs alright at low resolutions; CPU is decent but video card sucks

CPU: Pentium II 450MHz
Motherboard: something archaic
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce FX 5950 Ultra
Memory: 512MB PC133
Internet: 0.5mbit/1mbit
OS: Slackware 12.1

Runs very well with very few units... when pathing and cob hits for enough units though, it slows to a crawl

CPU: Pentium 233MHz MMX
Motherboard: Intel
Graphics Card: NeoMagic 2MB
Memory: 128MB PC100
Internet: 5mbit/1mbit
OS: Windows 2k SP4

Missing the required extensions to run most games

(these aren't all of my computers, just the ones I have with me at the moment)

How can you win that way, if whenever someone manages to get the spot he wanted/is good at some noob takes the important spot and ruins everthing? :)

Waste of money, the M2N32-SLI is equally good but used to cost a lot less.
