I don't think light beer even exists here in New Zealand, unless your talking about ginger-ale?
Your right though, I just prefer not spending hours trying to work your way through a 24 pack when you could do it with a far smaller amount fluid in a few minutes, and snorkeling things is just downright uncomfortable past six beers.

Depressingly immature approach to drinking tbfh. Alcohol in excess can be fun in situations involving socialising, or live music/dancing, but sitting on your own getting shitfaced... I really dont see the appeal.

People saying you cant get drunk off beer are talking bull as well.

For the record I make beer for a living.

ofc it does :P I had a light Macs light beer a few weeks ago, its ~1% alc/vol. Theres also Light Ice which is around 2%

(for more info, Budweiser is 5.0%, and Bud Light is 4.1%, the 'light comes from the lowered carb levels...)

Why'd you drink light beers? Isn't the purpose of drinking getting shit-faced as fast as possible, ideally without running to the toilet every 20 minutes?

16 is so 8 years ago

No I don't really like beer (but shandy) so I prefer to drink as little beer as possible to get drunk when there's no sprite available.

you mean the soda sprite or spirits? o_o

The former... but spirits are fine too as long as someone else is paying for it.

Shandy = either 50/50 or 40% beer + 60% lemon soda

 I found an interesting use for wine and vodka, herbal sports injury wine remedy to be applied to bruises.

http://www.acupuncturetoday.com/mpacms/ ... p?id=30215

:!: Maybe it could be used in the RICE (Rest, Ice, Compress, Elevation) first aid method by adding it to a compress.

As of about 5 hours ago, I've been up for 60 hours. I'm getting a better buzz off of lack of sleep than I got from beer and whiskey. I'm going to try to last until tomorrow night at 8 PM (work the next day), anyone want to sponsor me? That'll be... uh...

..

..

..

where's calculator...

..

..

I forget. But a lot. Lke 80. Possibly 84, yeah, that could make sense. No, it'd be 72. No, it's already 60 so it'd be... 84. Was 60 as of 5 AM.... er... no would it be PM?

Holy Crap.

So I got up on Thursday... at 5 AM.

Didn't go to sleep that night.

Worked the next day from 5 AM to 10:45 AM, stayed up all night...

So then that would be... Friday passed... and now I'm on to Saturday... But saturday is about to be over...

Someone help me?

Why can't we have a metric clock system? 20 hours per day, 100 minutes per hour, it would rule. We'd have to adjust the definition of "second" slightly and the 'States would probably use the old method well into the 22nd century even though the rest of the world used the superior Caydr method, but the benefits for everyone else would be pretty great. For instance, there wouldn't be all this "it's not a multiple of 10" nonsense.

Alright, so:

Thursday got up at 5 AM
Friday stayed up - as of 5 AM, 24 hours.
Saturday stayed up - as of 5 AM, 48 hours
As of 5 PM Saturday (5 hours ago), it would've been 60.
And it's now 65. Worked that one out on my own.
So if I stay up until 5 AM on Sunday it would be 72!
And then 5 PM would be 84... but I'm staying up to 8 PM so it would be 87.

Damn, it can't be an odd number, that'd piss me off, I'll have to stay up till 9. 88 hours! WOO! 96 would be better, for obvious reasons, but I don't think I should show up for work Monday morning without any sleep.

ALSO!

Black Lagoon: AWESOME HOT AWESOME SAUCE GREAT AWESOME, something like a mixture of Gungrave, Cowboy Bebop, and a little Elfen Lied (psychotic evil-eyed red-haired goddess of death). It's not so much "great" as it is "way better than some of the other crap I've sat through recently, like Serial Experiments Lain, Boogeypop Phantom, and some other crap. This is my ideal kind of show, and its few notable weaknesses can be forgiven.

Gantz: As of episode 25, this is the worst shit I have ever seen, besides all the other stuff that is worse.

The story's not bad, and I won't spoil any of the more significant things I take issue with, but it's like this. Picture you're fighting a giantass animated statue; roughly the size of the statue of liberty. You are using the equivalent of a modern day bazooka as your weapon against it, only it's the size of a pistol and is semi-automatic with infinite ammo. You also have about 5 comrades who are, while not as epic elite as you, competent somewhat.

What do you do in this situation?
A) Snipe it from afar, being as you have nothing to lose from this and everything to gain
B) Try to surround it
C) Run up to it, take a potshot at its feet, then realize you're too close and run away for cover under a fragile structure, and repeat. Several times. Meanwhile your "allies", and I do not jest, stand around doing nothing and eventually one of them says "WE SHOULD PROBABLY HELP HIM OUT!".

H-O-L-Y C-R-A-P. I've heard of bullshit anime fighting where you stand around having conversations and shouting your secret strategy to your allies while your enemy is within close earshot, and I've heard of having conversations in the middle of a fight while the enemy just stands around and waits for the sky to fall.... but this, this is unique.

And I'm not exaggerating that. One of the guys actually says "I think maybe we should help him out". This is because they have literally stood still and done nothing for the entire battle, meanwhile you are barely staying alive.

This happens in *every* battle. One guy actually fights, the others just stand around and make no indication they are even aware a battle is taking place not 50 feet away from them with a freaking skyscraper-sized animated statue of evil. I might have to youtube this, it's unreal.

And I can't emphasize this enough: their target is a the proverbial side of a barn, and they don't even attempt to shoot at it unless it's no more then 20 feet away. They just stand around an moan. This show is completely a typical shonen action show, I didn't expect much from it going in, but I'm still enormously disappointed with my loss of the 13 hours it took to watch it.

I'm such an ultra-man of hawtsecks that alcohol cowers in fear and just tries to hold me off until it can evacuate, and I haven't slept in 3 days just because I felt like it. I RULE.

Not really. This is actually sort of on-topic since I'm staying up mainly to see how much I can take, the same as I did with the alcohol.
