New phone

Post by Maelstrom »

My phone is basically dead. Its died a slow and painful death (not helped in the least by dropping it in the sink...), and I think it is time to say goodbye. So, now I need a new one. What phone should I get? Basically, it needs to be able to SMS/text people, and call people. All that other junk can go jump off a cliff as far as I am concerned, I didn't touch them once on my now dead phone. A long battery life would also be a major selling point for me. What would people here suggest?

Something old. They usually have the longest battery life and can take a beating :-)

Fixed phones still exist, so to avoid confusion dont call cellphones phones until then... :)

Yup. Mine's 6 years old and I bought it used about 3.5 years ago and it's still like new. Got some minor scratches you can't even notice and the keys aren't worn off at all. The alarm is pretty annoying too which replaces the need for an alarm clock. Battery life is about 8-10 days or more, depends on usage.
