Well, as an avid fan of HALO in the sense of go around killing aliens, and a fan of C&C generals for much the same reason, except with just all humans, I was obviously a fan of the Halogen mod for Generals.
However, I have been told recently that they receved a cease and desist order from Microsoft about HaloGen. They have therefore closed down the mod, despite it being not for profit.
If this is happening to free, not for profit mods, what is the future for Spring while it continues to use OTA stuff in it?

This is Microsoft dealing with a mod based on a property that's pretty much the only thing the XBox has going for it. Of course they're going to gib it.
Whoever the hell owns the TA license now probably doesn't give a damn about it. It's a ten-year-old game, any attempts at making a sequel will be eclipsed by Supreme Commander, so there's no money at risk.
