game stats menu... thing

Post by Caydr »

Was just testing stuff in dev build, accidentally pushed something and this menu came up with the min/max wind, tidal, comm-death setting, and a couple other things. Have no idea at all how I did it, and it went away when I pushed shift+esc...

Is that something new? I don't see it in the changelog.... but I've never triggered it before.

the button was 'i' (for 'info'). It displays the stats you mentioned.

Oh, you can set the opacity of the GUI too, with shift plus > or <.

while nice, setting the opacity of the GUI is no good if the ugly blue chat box stays there anyway.

Qwertz. I've got a laptop with Azerty (no, not the Lappy 386). And a spare keyboard with Dvorak...

The feature's name is "GameInfo", and it is bound to 'i'
in the default bindings. If you hit 'i' again, it will lower the
info window.

Another trick with that feature is to bind the same
key to "gameinfoclose". To do this in-game, type:

Code: Select all

/bind i gameinfoclose
This will make it so that you have to hold down the 'i'
key for the info window to remain visible.
