Is there a point when server split will be undone?

The ZK project felt that it could and should stand alone and left for greener pastures. If that is still the prevailing mindset in spite of other claimed (haven't seen the statistics) evidence, what exactly do you expect us to do about it?

Since this forum was often either pro-split ("sign of a mature game!" etc) or ignored the situation I think this is relevant here too. Should there ever be a re-combination it would have to be prepared from both sides.

There are some chat channels like zkdev and maybe others that have a tunnel between zk server and spring server, but the users on each side aren't shown.

Maybe there could be a more open chat bridge, where people connected to other servers would still show up in chats and have simplified status updates.

At one point i was going to harass people into discussing details about consistency of accounts across multiple servers etc. but then i figured i should focus on other stuff first. There could be some sort of standard for spring server clusters, with minimalistic account status consistency and such. This way "splits" wouldn't have to be an all-or-nothing thing.

There's no political issue on the Spring side. The only thing we can do is work more on the server and get some key features implemented, but that's something that will happen regardless, at its own place.
Also, they haven't expressed any interest to merge back so I don't see why you're asking us.

I don't know how is the situation on Zero-K server, but here if we consider that the time spent by players in-game is a valid activity indicator, then we are currently at the same level of activity we had one year ago just after the split.

Our "least activity period" was during september 2015, where we had about 20% less activity than currently.

I didn't agree with it, I liked spring being a community where people helped each other out. ZK has pulled their devs and project away. Meaning they or I would have to leave our respective communties to help the other.

I have always seen spring server as a platform for spring projects to be played on and players can jump from project to project while still staying with the core friends. However well the bridge works out, you seldom see the ZK devs post here and I have to check on 2 communities now.

True I started a separate community years ago during the darker days, now projects can have their own sub forums. It made me sad to see people leave the community here on the site.
