how do i get know off the existence of spring?
i seached for top strategy games and saw TA in 13 of a top 50
when i tested the game noticed is is very good but for sure have an remake
then i searched and get to ta3d project in tauniverse and after some more search i reach to spring
well all that was off topic (or no?)
i have only 2 days playing in spring and notice that the players community is low (maybe downgrading)
spring is a very good strategy game but is no published in any place.
for the community gets up again it need renown
facebook is one way and i think yours should put in it and in all games or non gaming comunities possoble
another are
ww.moddb.com (as indie game)
intercambiosvirtuales.org (a very popular spanish blog, to put a pack of spring+BA+popular maps. i know some ppl who just download every game posted in thet blog)
i will edit later to sugges more comunities for publicy

Webmaters??!
Who knew.
Who knew.
Re: to webmaters or moderators... make a facebook spring page
welcome :)
i thought facebook users only play farmville.
i think spring is not the kind of game that would profit from being on facebook because you can not try it out between checking messages.
of course you could make a facebook group yourself, doesnt need a webmaster for that :)
spring is on moddb: http://www.moddb.com/engines/spring
looks outdated though.
at the moment player count might be lower than usual because the latest release broke some things that will eventually be fixed.

Hi!
Please use a spell checker next time. There is already a spring page, but we could try to turn it into one of those spammer apps.

Several games have facebook pages:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Evolution ... ref=search
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Conflict- ... 724?ref=ts
uh I know there's a spring page on facebook somewhere.

Re: to webmaters or moderators... make a facebook spring page
There is a spring group page I'm pretty sure I'm a member of.
It seems that you didn't look very hard (not that you *should*) to find spring-related pages, but some basic research of where spring is promoted already might help with your advertising endeavors. There are a few "top 10" lists or some such that spring is on, and can be found on a lot of linux gaming sites as well.
One of the oft-argued topics is *what* to advertise about. Is Spring just a clone of TA in 3D? No, its a lot more, actually, with a quite a few (unpolished) games supported by the engine. Additionally, the trouble with advertising the TA-aspect is the legal concerns, which only grow with popularity and renown.
So yeah, while having a small community has its downsides there are a few hurdles to overcome in the meantime.

It appears there are 2 spring groups..one has about 200 members, the other has 100
Re: to webmaters or moderators... make a facebook spring page
Im an admin on one of them as is foreboding, here is the spring engine page:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Spring/29600477205?ref=ts
However, despite being more upto date, everyone is posting on the spring engine group:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2258931045&ref=ts
Purely because it is older. I can update it and keep it updated, but the thing is ran by the likes of neddiedrow and black liger, or rather left to subside.

Re: to webmaters or moderators... make a facebook spring page
I don't use Facebook, what can I say?
Re: to webmaters or moderators... make a facebook spring page
Then you should have handed it off to somebody who did ( obvious point: you still can )
