So,instead of making it a limping by product of this desire to maximize combat remove it and go all the way.
Or you can add the T2 metal extractor back, remove overdrive and shift the remnants of the eco system that you have now from just queuing energy buildings to managing different types of metal extractors which has more strategy in it.Since Everything must be able to build all types of mexes make it possible to build a t2 mex on top of regular mexes without the us of an AI or any reclaming.u just select a con select a "t2" mex and place it right on the t1 mex and the con starts upgrading.Like morephing only you still preserve that managment of your construction workers that will have to walk all the way to the mex to initiate the "morphing".

It will be extremly intuitive if a player can just select a "t2" mex and place it over a T1 mex without pressing anything else,as if the t1 mex isnt there..
Summery: Let's make ca ba again.

stop baawing about overdrive in this thread go to the CA thread for that.

Plus your points make no sense i could look at SA and start calling your economy crap by saying you need to make metal makers. So planetwars or GTFO

Now other CA achievements aside, this is something the devs REALLY won't want to let go of!

CA has the same level of economy macro management as you choose when to build E. It's needed for escalation.

Your saying CA economy is lacking micro management. Instead of the simple action of making a fusion you want to have to make some E then fiddle around with moho mexes. You have to pay attention to your MM/fusion balance. This is just pointless micro, there is an optimum order and way to upgrade your economy with the MM/moho system.

In CA the overall choice is the same, that is deciding to increase future M output at the cost of current resources.

Same level of macro management maybe but not the same level of micro management.
It's just a dumbed down system That should either become more complex or be removed.
It is not pointless micro it is fun.Paying attention to your metal/energy balance is a part of being a good player.
In CA it has been replaced by a slider and a graph...jeeh how fun..
And what about my other points of unit speed and dmg/hp ratio.
I remember saktoth saying Ba is too slow...
What is the point of making CA faster when it is obvious that even the top players cant handle BA's speed completely.
Sure you reduced what YOU call unnecessary micro from the economy but you have added to the overall management needed 10 folds.
many fast units that deal high dps compared to their average hp + spring's pathfinding and the pings people have in spring = not good.
As i wrote it is even pretty strongly felt in BA and much more in CA.

To be honest though Gota, no-one really cares what you think. And its all subjective anyway, people like what they like, presumably the CA dev team likes overdrive, so its in.
