BA still uses a lot of default engine stuff, which means that it's graphics while being crappier, still manage to eat particle count for breakfast lunch AND dinner.

Well, if you've like to get evo a look over, you can get it at either http://download.evolutionrts.info or via the spring module updater. Keep in mind that it is "Pre-Alpha", but everything is there that you need for a full fledged game (played quite a few all night long).

The reason I'm sticking to "Pre-Alpha" is that there are 2 more buildtrees to be added (one is nearly complete already), so obviously things will change here and there.

But, do me a favor and don't try it unless you really would like to. I am not one of the people that think that BA being dominant is a bad thing. Nor do I think that trying Evo out should be forced down your throat. Imo, something that people like more (as a majority) has not come along yet, and when it does, then people will play that and we'll be having this same conversation about that mod too :-)
