Teamspeak?
Is there an active teamspeak server that peeps regularly hop on?
Well simply you would just password the channel. I can imagine it would be a lot of fun to have a TS server going Only issue I can think of is language as we have such a diverse pool of languages due to the predominantly European background of spring, and different levels of proficiency in the spoken English language.Boirunner wrote:I think TS would be really cool for team games, but how to prevent your enemy from listening in?
Plus I'm from the UK, so we suck ass in languages

Well yeah, but it's quite the task to open a chan, set a pw, and pm it to everyone in your team; then if the game has to restart do the whole thing again. I'd love it, but setting that up for every game might be a bit tedious.
Springie could be updated to do this automatically I guess, that would be really cool.
But while language might be a bit of a problem, when talking slowly I think the problem would be overcomeable.

For open source VoIP stuff see this place.

Just sending a TS channel name and PW automatically before the game starts, and doing it again if someone from one team joins another, would be cool. Of course, an open source VoIP program would be even better .Tim Blokdijk wrote:TS is closed source, we can't integrate it.. but there are probably open source alternatives although I haven't looked into it.Boirunner wrote:...
This would be the killer application of a new lobby

and i added a link to Spring Teamspeak on the SmuG site, as well as a quick guide to getting it working.
http://www.smuggoat.net -> look on the right-hand side. And I should have some sort of rudimentary Teamspeak stats info up on the main page of th site by the time you read this.
