That Fortress is soo close to an idea I had just before I made my tank, I was originally going to make a tank that was basically a onland battleship.... Dam. Anyhow nice job. BTW,is that 418 tris or polys though? Not that it matters anyhow both would be under 1000 tris. Again, very nice job Runecraf...

My take on what a stealth tank could look like (I am aware that things such as the tracks and the slightly flat front would cause reflection and that radar isnt often used on ground vehicles IRL but its just a game). Its 636 tris, I will add detail if someone wants me too but stealth things usually ...

Why keep this as a Vehicle competition? Its probably been asked before but I couldnt be bothered reading through most of the dribble that this topic is. I mean already not many people have the spare time or effort to enter something thats going to require more than a couple hours making and will nev...

Cheers Argh, will do. Truth be told I did make it with four legs because anything with more than two legs is just plain cool. Also It makes sense to have four legs and upwards for balance and stability issues. I mean look at the krogoth, sure its cool but it could never actually walk. Actually come ...

Mobile turrets that have to "plant" themselves?
I was working on a model earlier and kinda came up with an idea for a unit, not too sure it been done before and I'm not sure that it could work. A vehicle (hover in my case) that is fully mobile but has to plant/attach itself onto the ground before it can fire. Basically this means it would be a po...

Done, but I cant seem to get the positions perfect, they are always out by about 0.001-0.002 when I use absolute commands, I think that part of the leg must not be straight or something. I cant be bothered looking through all the parts for the error, and 0.002 shouldnt make too much of a difference....

Righto, Gun size has been reduced. The guns were also changed a fair bit (they would now require a bit of texturing to look like decent guns). The arm holding the guns has been increased in size and he feat have had a few poly's cut off to make em look pointy. Feedback was good to have. Sorry rattle...

1124 Tris, not a bad effort for something with four legs, two guns and proper joints (joints that dont overlap, each other). Changed the model a bit, doesnt really have a head now, and the guns are now cannons. Heres the File: http://dl022.filefactory.com/dl/f/28a8cb/b/4/h/c4b736497024394e/ http://i...

OK, Just to clarify. By saying we can use perfect quads, does that mean I can select my model in wings3D, Quadrangulate it and quote the polygon count it comes up with? Or is this something else? Cause I have something which comes to 887 faces Quadrangulated, but 1668 faces triangulated :P. Also I d...
