I use the pause key... The pause key has not the same effect. It breaks the gameplay, otoh the slowdown lets you keep doing what you were doing, but you have more time to acomplish the same. (in better shape). Also, the pause key can be unpaused... that simple. No enemy would like to give its oponne...

Adrenaline Rush Key (idea) ()

Lets say every player has 3 of this instances. It synchs clients and then does a Slowdown. So you can mm bigtime. (maybe some FPS too 8) ) Its usefull on big stress situations and a replacement to the ability to control game speed. The slowdown time may be configured... but i think it shouldnt be mu...

i realize now...

In a recent game had a bunch of dominators, and they where shooting at the Ghosts... (cool! 8) ) but i moved them a bit more into enemy territory and they stopped shooting at the ghosts that where a bit further... had to manually target those, and got a bit confued about ghost targetting.. i realize...

im curious too of the different groups of players.

im almost used to the gtm -4 group. (midday and nite).

but i think maybe there are more ppl... like at 5 am? (for me).

I think bare minimal Spring is the way to go. then, the units (ota,xta, +cc), could be a mod of the original units to fit in this new game. Being thus, only a mod, as there are tons out there. All units and mods, plugin like. throw and play. A new, custom fit unit set for Spring would be really cool.
