Re: HOWTO : Compile TASClient

SATClient, for SATirik, sounds ace to me. Thereafter any leftover accidental TASclient references are typos!

Re: Some crashes, and LUAUI problem

Just some details if they help: the custom formations widget went wrong in NOTA plus LOLUI, I restarted LUAUI several times and for no apparent reason it "took" and started working again after the third chat-reload.

Thanks for the info, all! It's good to know.

Some crashes, and LUAUI problem

So I had a crash, and I had LUAUI crap itself, although after several restarts via the /luaui reload command, LUAUI worked properly. All this is a WinXP machine that has run Spring flawlessly for some time. I saved infolog.txt for both instances. Should I post them? Excerpts follow: LUA error, happe...

Re: The economics of Spring mod users

I strongly suggest that the easy, newbie-attracting version NOT contain big, glaring IP violations, and as such, as much as I love TA mods, it should not be a TA mod.

Re: HOWTO : Compile TASClient

So for a mere plebian like me:

does TASClient work with current version multiplayer?
does TASClient work with bots?
where can I get latest version TASClient in an easy-to-use-even-for-zombies format?

Re: Max Annihilation and NOTA

If you're looking for some real fun co-op or solo, NOTA plus Spacebugs is totally awesome. It takes a bit of time to figure it all out, because NOTA feels a lot like OTA in play, but is also at the same time not really anything like it, due to a kind of "grand strategy" game layered over t...

OK cool.

We've gotten many hours of fine entertainment out of Spacebugs, IMO currently the premium and most flavoursome Chicken.

Does Spacebugs utilise the latest NOTA or only the specific version it was released for?

Avid co-op spacebugs players want to know!

Re: some things I would like to know about spring

You don't need high polycount so much as units that "read" well at average zoom. So the overall aesthetic, and the distinctiveness and "character" of the model are more important than outright pollies. From what I read there's no engine problem with very high polygon models if th...

Re: The balance formula thread

OK: here's a mod. Every single unit has the same cost and buildtime, but every time someone in a game builds it the cost and buildtime go up. In fact they increase at an increasing rate for every unit built. Ideally this mod needs a very large number of somewhat similar, partly interchangeable units...

Re: Soul's Workz

"Balancing" the proportions is not the one true god of aesthetics.

Matter of fact a slight imbalance is better.

The chaingun is fine IMO.
