Re: Metropolis Spring
Also I have no idea what the bars at the top mean... Well, as it happens at some times, the Manual is usually teh latest part. As in the original UA, they go for "creation energy", "beaming energy" and "host station shield energy". UA had also the option for "lock...

Metropolis Spring
So, i've been messing around with the workings of Spring Engine for some time now. Here is the product of my messings (v 0.15): A mod in the face of the "underdog title" Urban Assault. (NOTE: the archive on darkstars.co.uk is BROKEN) It features most of the original's catches: the sector-d...

I have a Suspicion. So, can anyone tell me whether math.random will sync when invoked within a gadget's synced context?

Re: Undead crashing aircraft
Axm, that's the thing about the undead. They don't count as dead either, so neither UnitDestroyed call-in will report them, nor will IsUnitDead return true. ^^And killing units with a script as plan B will also definitely work.
I'll try the "airstrafe=0" tho.

Undead crashing aircraft
Well. I've been making a certain unit that has an Independence-Day-style beam as its only weapon. Since it should fire directly downwards, and gunships have a hard-wired "strafe left-right at some range" behaviour, they are unapplicable. So i played with the physics settings for the airpla...

Widgets in 77b5?
I've upped to 77b5 (on Intrepid, from the repo) some time ago, and found out that not only most (the ones i tried) global AI's wont work for me (well, that figures with all the interface redesign and stuff), but also, more alarmingly, all widgets seem to bork now, while the gadgets continue to do wh...

cia.vc for Spring?
I wonder if anyone would care to set up a cia.vc account for spring?
Having all the improvements pop up near-realtime in one's IM client seems a nice way to keep track on when to recompile the source for the newer version
