Re: RIP BA

This is a problem with SPADS, not spring (if it is indeed a real issue, which I have doubts). I had linux autohosts hosting maintenance versions a while back. I switched them to windows so that I could more easily automate processes. It's problem not SPADS. Bibim don't know how to solve it and it's...

Re: RIP BA

1)Dear developers, you did bad incompatible versions. It's the reason why even people than want to play in new BA, cannot play to it. You didn't ask yourself why now it's only one man Fabrice Fabs have linux autohosts with it? Becouse you did such way that if you sync at one miltiautohost you cannot...

Re: Spring v104.0.1+ BA10.24 unsync

One more observation. If i will put the file balanced_annihilation-v10.24.sdz to folder C:\Users\User Name\Documents\My Games\Spring\games\ and do "Reload map/games" in SpringLobby it will sync at my autohost but will be unsync when i visit another autohosts. If i will remove this file fro...

Re: Spring v104.0.1+ BA10.24 unsync

>Did you install other Spring instances manually? Yes, but problem existed and when i had only one instance, by default. It begun when i migrated from Spring 103.0 + BA9.46 to Spring 104.0.1 + BA10.24. I tried to reinstall spads from zero and got the same. I removed contents of "/root/spads/var...

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

I have great proposal for developers wich think that they don't need players. Let's replace url of default Official server to new uberserver of Mando. Developers could to continue their work makes more bugs or kill the project at all as they wish and other people will enjoy their old bugged but work...

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

Some might do it for a community, some might do it for the technical challenge and some for boosting their self-confidence. It good and right and it's yours own business but it should not broke all project in result, right? If i want to start to develop spring for increase my technical challenge i ...

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

1) Now it's too bugged to play. So i cannot use it. 2) >If your goals are contradictory to the project, feel free to host your own server with any versions and/or rules you see fit. I did it already. Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

Sorry, I'm a little pissed off. I say very banal and obvious things that I think should be clear to everyone. Especially after my auto workshop example.
I am writing several posts because I have not found an edit button here.

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

If the development of the engine Spring breaks the entire gameplay of modifications, then the question is whether this development of the engine is necessary?
Either this must be done simultaneously or not at all.

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

Your clients is players. No, game developers are our "clients". Players are theirs. I guess you'll just have to... learn how to hustle? Do own project, own development. What are you doing here? This is not commercial project. You will not sell it. It's project for people, for players.

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

We chase innovation because innovation is motivation. Without motivation there'll be nothing here. Ok. I understand this. In this case developers who want own innovations should to leave project and do something own games. Not this public project. For example - you bring your car to autorepar stati...

Re: [misc] spring >= 104.0

Subsisting on old versions, and dying the slow death of hardware progression & public exploits, may well be favoured by some communities, and may well happen elsewhere - but I don't think the engine devs are interested in having it here. Hardware progression is not so fast. I believe that i can...

Re: [misc] enforcment of spring >= 104.0 for autohosts with botflag

I also don’t understand why it was necessary to break a well-balanced BA. Why it was impossible to release the new version of spring and to support the old version of BA in it, or if it is not possible to accurately transfer the entire balance to the new one. People play in Spring because of the goo...

Re: [misc] spring >= 104.0

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure you are mistaken. BA 10.24 requires a version newer than 104.0, any other hosts running that combination won't work. You need a maintenance build. Launching a game of 10.24 in singleplayer should display an error message telling you what the needed version is. I tried...
