Re: Desktop Screenies

jennington all I can see is a vagina. You're a lil bit too horny to be browsing Spring forums if you see a vagina in a canyon shaped like a Coca-Cola bottle... Just sayin'. Anyway, I change my desktop theme quite often. Last time I had a Pink Floyd one, it was pretty amazing as well. I wonder if sm...

Re: Locking interface = bad idea

Yes, that's what I'm saying. Though you ignored how blocking local widgets is silly in general, not just in this particular situation. Yeah, even testers may want to turn the menu off when it's suddenly in their face, but I'm sure that asking for testing help is enough to result in enough input. Act...

Re: Locking interface = bad idea

Stable. As written earlier, people will join the game that has players - test or stable. It means that the only way to prevent occasional players raging/leaving/getting a bad impression is to play stable only, which means that test versions won't be played at all. Those who are willing to be beta-t...

Re: Locking interface = bad idea

You can always enable old menu if you turn off marking menu and ca_layout. What? When we were ingame, you made it clear that there's no possible way to use the old menu. Also, I've tried this several times, and it just turns off the new menu, which means I have no buildmenu at all... Everyone seems...

I uploaded it too. Try if that works. http://replays.adune.nl/?1617 Nope, borked as well, at least when I watch it. http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/6103/screen033p.th.png Yeah, not a good shot, it just shows how the replay fails. As participants remember, there were dozens of mushroom clouds at ...

Re: Locking interface = bad idea

I don't see a reason to take options away. Props for adding a new one, I like where you're going with it, but let players choose. If you're so worried about something breaking because of that, you can always make a big red warning text appear when enabling a local widget, or something like that - wh...

Re: NEW CHICKENS!

I think it's good to have a very hard difficulty level to keep it challenging. It's not impossible. We also beat it yesterday on LLTAComplexV2. We did have metalmult on though (after dying painfully with no mult), but it was still very hard with 2-3 players. We lost a few dozen games with that amoun...

Re: PlanetWars round 5

I finally finished the upgrade tree. I think I removed every old unit/name and fixed categories, but someone should check it before implementing anything since I may be wrong. I also added some new units and a new level (7) for apocalyptic structures. namespace PlanetWarsShared { #if !BA_UPGRADES pu...

Re: Good, simple-to-mix drinks

Most actual drinks have a minimum of 3 different ingredients, so if 2 is your maximum, you're making this a little tricky, but I can list some combinations I've liked: Vodka + an energy drink (some are better, some worse, any is safe for experimenting, won't taste terrible) Vodka + Schweppes lemonad...

Re: AWESOME!

Real women or men don't have to use violence unless they're going to get hurt if they don't, or have gotten hurt badly by the person. The situation was stupid. If another girl threw a drink at me and I didn't have one to throw back, I'd just spit in her face or something else thats "getting bac...

Tried it a few years ago. Didn't work. I did have pretty crappy headphones though. A lot of people say it works a bit, but that's probably just the placebo effect. I'm pretty sure you'll get a ~better high~ by listening to good music...

Re: new star trek film

I haven't seen it but my prediction is that it'll be a pretty nice film but still total rape :( No way it can come close to the series with that new cast (I mean seriously, Nimoy and Shatner were priceless for one) and the whole "lol complete makeover" attitude. Sigh... I'm still looking f...
