Re: My head hurts! Damn logic game
Just came to say that I love Manufactoria. Best game I ever played. I've played for 10h or so hours till now, but couldn't pass few of the levels. Now I'm slowly starting to question my capabilities. I'm gonna soldier on tho, even if it takes me 1 year. p.s. this thing wasted my whole day, meant for...

Re: cartoons you grew up on?
Beside Banana-man, Batman, He-Man :D and similar xyz-man derivates, I used to watch things like: Pat and Mat: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DZvIQX0CAkw&feature=related Bojan (Slovenian cartoon): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXFzo_azTHU&feature=related Fireman Sam (very good Slovenian sync...

Re: TASClient's story in pictures
I wonder if it's possible that noone (beside me like 10y ago) noticed border changing around controls in TASClient? You can reproduce it by minimizing TASClient and then opening it up again. Borders will stay thick until you preform some GUI action. I guess it's not that distracting, but on the othe...

Re: C# Beginner
There are many great posts in this thread :) Just to clear things up. I'm not switching to C++ right now. I probably will in the future, if I stick with programming. You can't find app for everything. For example I have to make (till the end of the month  ) program that will read data from PLC...

Re: C# Beginner
I'm talking about stuff like this: int Dolzina = comboBox1.Text.Length; I managed to figure out that I should go for .Text and then .Length here, but in most cases I'm more or less lost. When I write comboBox1 and hit that magic "." I get auto complete up with shitloads of choices. I can't...

Re: C# Beginner
if long statements confuse you, try to break it down into parts. Like for Xxx.Yyy.Zzz(Jjj.Iii()) -> bla = Jjj.Iii() Xxx.Yyy.Zzz (bla) But I'm still left with Xxx.Yyy.Zzz -.- I guess I'll have to soldier on... the interweb. its no shame to always have some documentation/reference site opend. if you ...

C# Beginner
I'm trying to learn C# lately and I would like some advice on how to approach this, since I find it utterly confusing. I first started coding this year at uni. Sice I'm mechanical engineer we don't even have lectures on programing, just some brief overview. We started with C, where we had a very goo...

Re: Possibly Delusional?
I've just watched this and got fairly confused. I think her talk was contradictory. She wants us to play games more while mentioning (in between lines) that current games aren't the right one for her vision. She could as well call job a game and leave the stage right away. The only potential I saw, ...

Re: Computer Build
I like this chart. doesn't factor in AM2+/DDR2 systems, which end up costing less but still performing very well Yeah I completely agree. AMD's choice is superb. What I rly rly like about i5 is it's Tubro function which adds quite a lot to single threaded applications. Plus if I had like $1000 to s...

Re: Computer Build
I like this chart. I would go for i5-750 and some DX11 GPU from ATI. But I've heard a lot about problems with ATI drivers on linux or with spring, so nVidia might be better option -.- Mobo has to be from known vendor and it has to have whatever ports you want. Other than that it doesn't rly mater. A...

Re: Mouse 4 and 5
It's still not working for me.
Now it won't even work when Mouse1/2 aren't held (compared to what I mashed together).
Maybe Auswaschbar made some engine changes as well to go with this?

I'm sry, but most of you speak some language I don't quite understand. Would you be so kind and elaborate on "autohotkey script". I have no idea where to stick that.

Re: Mouse 4 and 5
OK, I've somehow managed to modify your widget to change buildspacing, BUT there's a problem. Behavior still isn't the same, because it won't read buttons and change spacing while I hold mouse1 (dragging line of buildings). I'm not good enough in lua (actually I don't know anything about it) to bypa...

Re: Mouse 4 and 5
There's a widget? Well I'll take anything if devs aren't rdy to address this. Well I use a Logitech MX 518 and it has some nice software that comes with it to bind keys to any button on it. So if you have software with your model, just bind a mex combo to your UI keys and then also bind that combo t...

Mouse 4 and 5
Hey Ever since I started playing I used Mouse4 and Mouse5 (thumb buttons) on my Logitech MX510 for buildspacing. Buttons were bound by default, no interaction from my side. That behavior somehow got changed in last 6 months (dunno when rly since I didn't play) with one of the new Spring revisions. I...

Dunno how I missed MS's Courier concept but this is certainly something I want. I was dreaming about that kind of tablet for quite a long time! I'm not too optimistic about it tho, at least not for near future ( <1 year), but I'm looking forward to this whenever it's coming out. Uses are limitless f...

I watched it. That was my point. They proved that multitasking made them worse, but they still graduate. Never mind, those are just my frustrations, because I'm stuck on uni with 90% of equipment older than me and topics that need some serious revamp, while many other students around the world enjoy...

How MIT students multitask is sick. Can they even think with so many things going on? Maybe they're way smarter than me and everyone else I know -.- But more than that I'm now convinced, that MIT students are overrated and terribly lucky to have that kind of learning environment (envy!), which adds ...

Re: [PiRO] Clan
Who created the clan name? Cause (PiRO =/= Pyro) =/= Fire. We just agreed that PiRO is in some way connected with fire. I actually talked about that same issue with restrictor ages ago. What we concluded was that Piro should match Pyro in dutch, but I used google translate now which suggests word w...
