Higher poly count and glossy screen shots when zoomed in close don't always make a better looking game. In my opinion CA graphics are a step backwards because the units look uglier when zoomed out to a practical distance for play. I prefer the look of BA. Maybe its just because I'm older and used to...

If RTS battles were something like the movies, we would be seeing good guy peewees that can micro through dozens of bad guy l2 tanks and heavy turrets and not get hit once.

Yeah I was surprised how little had changed after I rejoined recently after maybe 12 months away. Except people spam stumpies instead of flashes. And getting to tech 2 now matters. Interesting idea. Maybe as a very quick test of the concept make a mod where one side can build only flash (fast raider), another only stumpies (main assault), third side lugers, and fourth side banshees.

So, you dont want your units to blow up if your com dies in a com ends game. That will give you even more reason to com bomb It will be more reason to com bomb than com ends. But less reason to com bomb than com continues. I think this would be a good option to replace com continues for team games.

The other angle for diversity in TA based mods is lab choice. Each lab has a different style of units, and diversity could be increased by increasing the difference between each lab, and by rebalancing so that air is a viable start.
