Why not make diffrent TerrainTypes - for example for the horse standard opening turn, something were only K-Bots can walk fast or from the Tower Positions a trail were Tanks and Goliaths are on the Move -

what would i do without u- i messed around, i even had the sky mirroring the cat-puked- pink ground and so on... I didn`t rename any of the Files, just the Archive... oh, maybe - yes, i wrote into the mapper -o C:\MapConv\MapConv\Yilith.smd that`s it... Thousand thx What i am working on.... renderd ...

Little Last Problem

Hi after having compiled my map.. i can run it in spring, but i don`t see the skybox and i get a totaly uhm.. lilapink coloured groundtexture. The Minimap works, and the Gras has the Colour of the expected Landscape under it...

If you create a Layer in PSP - fill it with the wanted tile, add a mask and then start to paint in the mask, you should not make hard borders, if you don`t really want them... Most of the Texturetiless Changing on the Maps are seemless..

I worked under the impression

that u can paint on the texture map- if this is not possible.. just look on Maps like Egypt- if u handpaint it- it will be made of hundreds of tiles - very big and the file oversized

and strg is german for ctrl - sorry...

if i am wrong... then i am in more trouble than u are...

U use Photoshop.. well first u got to creat patterns... make a little new file 128 x128 for example.. use filter render clouds - notice that clouds borders will not appear, seond thing is to insert shapes.. they are the best way to avoid borderbrakes.. just copy the Piece of Shape looking over ur Bo...

but... my favourite is splinemodelling in 3dsxmax.. which can end chaotic..
i can texture.. as long as it is not to organic (stretching muscleproblems)
Animation... only in Max, Skinning and so on... is in it..

What i hate is rendering movies... you can work for all eternety on one shot...

The Problem with Interaction is that it would be really fast real unfair. Just drop a view Ship Wrecks or Fire down and everything is history. Or the Plane Problem... But it would be a Nice Skybox as long as there is CPU-Power left... Just imagine looking up out of FP and seeing a massive Space Batt...

Couldn`t those two be combined so that you could see from the AA Surface the FF Battle above, and the FF Battle sees, down beneath the Clouds the Absolut Annihilation Batttle take Place. If TA: Spring gets such a beautiful Islandsmap- why did i bought Farcry....

Man those wonderfull maps u get to see here, can really demotivate Mappingnoobs like me. And there goes another Highcraps of mine into the Trash- maybee i should write a tutorial what can went wrong....

About activating this qeud comands- i mainly thought about timers or a key. or a by you selected Area, that works as a kind of motion detector. I think it is very usefull to command many diffrent "prepared" groups under messy stressfull situations. A little hidden waiting Attack on the Ene...

Sorry, it is difficult to explain. But the Feature exists in some other Games, mainly Tactical Shooters with a planning phase. If in such a Shooter a Team needs to wait, for the other Teams to catch up. If they reached there Places in the Great Masterplan, a Trigger is acitvated, all Teams are again...
