Re: Turn off target pos fluctuation for cheating AI
I wouldn't know much about Shard personally, I've only seen one replay of it on evolution (it doesn't come to linux out-of-the-box and i'm too busy to look at those cmake files you mentioned), which btw looks like fun, and even though it managed to win in a 3 shard vs 3 humans game, it wasn't that i...

Re: New C++ AI Interface
Namely whenever someone misspells a unitname in Shard, then attempts to find a location to build it, the engine crashes inside closestbuildsite. The only logical explanation is an invalid unitdef structure caused by attempting to retrieve a unitdef for a unitname that has been misspelt. I'm just gu...

Re: Turn off target pos fluctuation for cheating AI
I might have not understood the entire discussion completely but from what I saw the main argument is that AI's ability to use perfect map information malfunctions when picking targets? If so, that feels more like a bug than normal behavior. Creating AIs that can play competitively against human opp...

Re: Java Tutorial
I think it would be nice if we could get more information about getting started on there. Yes, we have a tutorial for setting up the system, and from there a good programmer would be able to turn out something decent. But for someone like me, that knows a bit of programming but is trying to use thi...

Re: Java Tutorial
ehh, good job! :-) (though you could have used pastepin ;-) ) you have to login to the wiki, to be able to edit it. use your forum user-name and pwd. I avoid using pastebins for things that may be read at unknown times, as they often have an expiration date. Anyway, I've edited it now, I'm not sure...

Re: Java Tutorial
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Ill fix it tonight. Strange though that it worked for me with it called MyAI.jar I had the same problem as msm8bball, and I was stupid enough not to look here for comments. In any case, it should be fixed, both in this thread and link originating from http://springrts....

Re: New C++ AI Interface
How does one use the wrapper? I managed to download cppintnew branch from git, but the only thing I found in the wrapper was a bin directory with 3 awk scripts. I'm not sure how to run them. Also, is it actually usable? What would you suggest for a C/C++ programmer that can actually be tested - I'd ...
