Filtering maps by current mod will be done via small .cfg file for each mod, along with the side names and the preview .Gif. If this .cfg file is not present, than OTA sides will be assumed, no maps filtered, no preview .GIF given, and default music selection. I'm having trouble with the layout of t...

Ok, a small update. Still finalizing commands and getting the game interface completed (Almost 90% there), so I've started GUI conceptualization. Here's how it looks so far: http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/865/tss1dh6.png The previews will be animated gifs, with the same name as the mod/map, stor...

AF: I'm only going to hardcode universal-style AIs (no configs) into this, so handicap will be used. It will still give the illusion of difficulty to the average player, wich should be enough. While the SM3 generator *could* be a seperate program, I would prefer it to interface with the difficulty s...

The Cross-Platform Single-Player Menu
The time has come. Linux users, you will now have a single-player menu and campaign system, complete with a music player. Windows users, you too can use this, however it will need to be compiled seperately. This is still VERY beta, but so far everything is working as it ought. A first public release...

Quick & Cheap Python Script: Random Skirmish beta .0001

Your runline should look somthing like: python SpringRS.py; spring script.txt This will alter the script file to rand...

Spring players and Python
I've got some programs coming down the pipe for Spring, mostly single-player frontends and, while Linux usually comes with Python pre-loaded, I noticed few windows people know what Python is. For you guys, please look into it. Why am I going with Python? Because it's an open-source oriented, easy-to...

Forgetting about Linux?
Is there some major reason I'm overlooking as to why the Linux native can't run the .DLL AIs? Please remember, linux people need .so AIs, and hardly anyone makes them. I feel left out...

Battlestar Galactica - BtRL = Holy frak, this is free?
Beyond the Red Line is a fan-made BSG game. They released a 'demo' of this open-source, freeware title and holy frakking tarballs... this is a great game. Give it a shot if you like space shooters:
