Re: Extra Credits: Balancing for Skill
http://springrts.com/phpbb/download/file.php?mode=view&id=7756 Demanding skilll improvement is important, i agree on that, but the experience as a whole is dependent on the hollywoodcurve.. means tension (more skill), pause (relax) and you can design for stuff that is paradox. Fear if done righ...

I give up. Here are your options: A. Follow through with what you said you'd do, forgive Emission, move on with your life. B. Find the replays that prove you're not just dragging a respected community member through the flames because your autistic level of needing personal space in an online game ...

Your commentary style reminds me of NintendoCapriSun, although quite a bit more badass and quite a bit less pathetic and sad.
You do a good job of having emotion in your voice and giving a impression of caring about what you're doing.

Re: Extra Credits: Balancing for Skill
I've been thinking a lot about this. I made a couple graphs. An ideal skill curve looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/V78m9.jpg Some wiggliness is ok, probably a good thing actually, but the graphing program I used doesn't like that type of thing very much. Irregardless here are the main points - It...

Its not what he says. Its the fact that he drew himself a halo from the glorious days of bullfrog, he speaks as if bullfrog never died and yet he cant deliver like in those glorious days at bullfrog. Conclusion: He never was a great gamedev in the first place, and just has a big mouth, able to coll...

I really like Peter Molyneux. Just tone down everything he says 30% and you're always going to be super happy with everything he has ever made. Seriously, his games are great, but he always claims they will change the world, and that's just a little bit unrealistic.....

Toribash is multiplayer stair dismount? Pretty much. The youtube video gives the impression that it's this amazing physics based make your own moves combat game... but it's really a game where you and another guy have a seizure together and you hope the other guy falls on his head an breaks his nec...

been on moddb for a while now.. not offline. not lan. a least last I read there was talk of it being like a mmo online only sort of thing. I RAEGED and stopped caring. I care a super tiny amount when a huge AAA company that could easily do that chooses not to for DRM purposes. I do not care the sli...

Re: Epicmafia
I've tried mafia a couple times online. I prefer it in real life. I'm not as good at dishonesty when everything I've ever said is recorded. I get a bit obsessive pouring over logs. I had some fun as a villager, but I just find the in person version less stressful and more fun over all.

Re: MINECRAFT IS NOW BETA!
I'm quite in love with Tekkit. I built a door that requires a password to open using computer craft. A drawbridge and portcullis using redpower frames. A shopping system to sell beer brewed with ingredients I had farmed with Industrial Craft. Minecraft had become a minor addiction of late, at least ...

I'm happy with Windows 7. If I was thinking of changing operating systems right now I'd be thinking of Linux. Not quite ready to go for that commitment yet on my primary use machine.

I was EXTREMELY drunk while watching this, and I still could not enjoy it. I don't recommend. [edit] to be specific, her singing is bad, but the mixing is like literally retarded. This is some of the worst sampling I've ever heard. The mixer has absolutely NO ability to match vocals with coherent in...

Re: Opera/ballet recommendation
I went to a symphony with my GF, and they did stuff that you can't download online. Was pretty awesome to be honest, I had never heard a sound that shifted the soul quite as much as legitimate live instrumentals. Speakers can't emulate what went on there that night. Haven't tried an opera though.

On Xbox and Playstation people only write bots to pwn n00bs in CODBLOPS so they can be L33T H4ck3rs.

Oh well, it won't be too long before Xenonaughts comes out, and I'm thinking the way Xcom finally released (really fun, but dumbed down none the less) will be really really good for Xenonaughts.
