Off peak, probably. ZK and BA are pretty much the only games that have a decent number of players, iirc. I haven't played for a while myself.

Re: installing spring on mint 19
Chances are this won't be helpful, but there's a vague chance it could be a faulty bot. Maybe make sure it's the DAI? (I think that's its name)
Or I think the NullAI is even safer for testing because that one has less moving parts (read: no moving parts; it does nothing :D )

Re: installing spring on mint 19
I feel like you are your own worst enemy in this situation. Aren't we always our own worst enemies? .-, every time same error : the spring executable version was not found at the set location please, re check okay, that implies that the lobby didn't finish downloading the engine? Can you possibly l...

Re: installing spring on mint 19
adizow if you can install the binaries then you shouldn't have to worry about compiling the engine? When you open SpringLobby, what happens when you try to join a public battleroom? It should try to auto-download everything for you. Have you tried that? .-.

You call that messy?
I call this way cool. :D Is this currently an Android project? I've been playing around with ARKit on iOS (not spring-related tho). This stuff is so much fun.

Re: installing spring on mint 19
I actually have the vaguest of ideas what could be going wrong. Could you please give a step by step (as best you can recall) what you've done? As to installing the engine and lobby and trying to run. Questions I'd like answers: 1) How did you try to play from lobby? 2) Have you installed a binary o...

Re: bind group(0-9) bug
Hehe, which engine are you compiling? If 9.46 runs you're likely compiling something earlier than 104, correct? 9.46 doesn't run on anything later than 103.0. I don't know but 10.10 may require one of the latests builds from the maintenance branch of the engine to run (which won't be able to run 9.4...

Re: installing spring on mint 19
BA 9.46 needs engine version Spring 103.0
You are compiling engine version Spring 104.0
That's all I have the knowledge to answer, sorry. :)

Could this in any way be related to the macos build fail which iirc (I can't check rn) fails in global rendering. Cpp?

No need to defend engine devs, we fucking love this game dude. We just want MORE :) To paraphrase: Dear Engine Devs, your mistake was making an engine so good we expect it to be perfect. We wouldn't go anywhere else because anything else is trash but, you see, our expectations have been set too hig...

Re: SEA BALANCE SUGGESTION
Thanks for the clarification on the commander, however it does feel like it would make sense to prevent it from walking underwater if there's a water alternative, now that I think about it? Never mind, I'm just thinking aloud. But I'll continue thinking aloud about your suggestions… 1) Scouts seem t...

Re: SEA BALANCE SUGGESTION
BasiC, I feel you're repeating yourself. I've stated my reasons for not liking your suggestions, but I'll repeat them and add a couple for you to debate against: Commander is O.K. underwater, it's a different way of working. BA is commander-centric and I'd hate for that to change. If commanders can'...

Everything in battle list says failed to download. What am I doing wrong? Try joining a battleroom, and click yes when it asks you to download everything. Also, check in the battlelist: are there green ticks beside anything? Check in the game, map, and engine columns. All details of what you see wi...

There are some very specific things for me: Physics: Okay, we might not have perfect physics but this for me is amazing. Models: I know most people would say that the current models look pretty bad, but when I first saw them I fell in love with them. I still Terrain, and the importance of: I can't r...

Interesting. In my (early) memory, you were one of the first players who I considered a dominant sea player back in the days of AA. 6. Sea radar should be cheaper Or make it slightly longer range? Maybe combine sea radar and sonar? Or make sonar completely underwater? Sea radar's range is equal to ...

Re: Which is the game that best represents the Spring engine?
I would probably suggest that Zero-K has taken the capabilities of the engine farther, at least from where I stand as a player. I would, however, recommend looking at all the major games developed for the engine, as all of them have something unique that may inspire you.

I think the word for this is "beautiful". I'm not sure I've seen a map more aesthetically pleasing (to my eyes at least).
