Re: Complete Annihilation News
kbots got versatility and climbing ability, vehicles got strengh, speed and range. versatility and climbing... or strength, speed and range? I know where my bet goes :P knorke in the situation where you bumraped emped units, flash woulve worked just as well, the increased survivability and speed mo...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
glaive is rarely useful. its power is comparable to BA flash vs BA peewee, except you get 2.5 pw for ba flash, and and you get less than two glaive for ca flash; and the glaive is worse As far as I know kbots and vehicles arent supposed to be equally balanced, but self-complementary: kbots got vers...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
they are metal transports rather than weapons. I didnt get what you meant, but if you mean something like "They are just useless bunches of moving metal", I disagree. I never use then because I always play core but they are quite grieving sometimes :) Its just that there are units that ca...

Re: All units get colored the same.
reinstalling spring isn't a very big deal, just copy your maps, mods, and lua widget folders to somewhere and paste them back after reinstalling doing this really cuts out a lot of potential causes of your problem Ok, I will give it a try, thanks. Edit: I gave it a try, but it didnt work. I copied ...

Anything less drastic? :)hunterw wrote:reinstall
Could that widget that re-colors units according to teams "override" the bug and at least let me tell allies from foes and me again?

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Unrelated: when I launch an offensive, I tend to try and blow up as much as I can before my units die. The only death-evading maneuver I tend to do is to move my units away from a building that's about to explode. Not retreating seems to be a holdover from my BA days :P . In CA, however I've seen p...

All units get colored the same.
I got this weird bug somewhat recently, for reasons I cannot guess as nothing in the computer or was changed (as far as I know) that causes all units to be colored with the color of the first player to aparear in the list, rather than the colors they should have. This only happens with the units the...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Also, some terraforming can do wonders  I was thinking the same thing :) roaches are small enough to hide behind dt and inside trenches, so you can dig a lot of holes and put then hiding into, or send cloggers to make a forest of dt then send roaches zigzaging through it into the enemy. Im go...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
The answer is don't play against det. I was playing against SteveZissou, the game was pretty even up until the point where he rolled up with ~15 rockos, and I could do nothing (as far as I could see at least) but retreat and relinquish the centre of the map, ergo a substantial portion of the mex sp...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
incorrect. as my MidShield protects me from all sorts of attacks, I am the best CA player to walk the Earth. However, I am a porc :P What about nukes? :) I think an agressive adjective/noun would do best as the name of the baddest unit from core. "Armaggedon" sounds like a good, if uncrea...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Talking about aircraft, I think a "spread" units command like there is in Nota would be really cool for CA, since packed aircraft are an easier target and something as simple as keeping your aircraft away from each other shouldnt be so hard to micro... even better if this command could wor...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Something like: "mass = (((Size * x) * HP) / speed) * y" When there is only multiplications, you don't need to " scale " each variable with its own factor. It's allowed to multiply and divide different between units that have nothing in common. Plus, don't you see that (((Size *...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Don't worry about the wiki structure. The purpose of you doing this will be so that we can take your translation and put it in the game itself eventually. Then the unit guide will be autogenerated from that the same way the English unitguide is autogenerated. My patience liked to hear that :) I thi...

Re: Complete Annihilation News
Roach is quite possibly OP. Its just very difficult to use, you must zig-zag with it against most targets, you can only send in one at a time since they chain, and its useless against any kind of defenses. This requirse a lot of babying, but when you baby it, its actually kind of crazy. However aga...
