Re: Updated site layout ready?
Man, why does every single little logo discussion have to be like pulling teeth. Considering how ad-hoc this community is, it doesn't have to be about how official it is, all it has to do is look good. Just because we have a terribly designed "OFFICIAL" package doesn't mean shit. I mean he...

Re: Updated site layout ready?
Please use this logo type instead.
That blue stroke on on the current one clashes too much.
And the all caps is completely unbalanced, doesn't have any class.

Re: The website (yes, again)
AF, there is a book that might help you, it's worked pretty good for me, it's called.. How to win friends and influence people. Works, no joke. I currently work on the webteam for kohls.com, me and some other guys design and update this http://www.kohls.com/upgrade/events/single_event.jsp?FOLDER%3C%...

Re: The website (yes, again)
erm Fnordia replace this: http://nyspring.clan-sy.com/images/logo.png With a resized version of this: http://images.darkstars.co.uk/spring/general/TheMkII/SpringBannerNoBGmkII.png More details and PSD's pngs etc here No. The top one is so much better. It's balanced, smooth and not overpowering with...

Ah, nice to see the Swedish Yankspankers still rule with an iron fist. Get that shit on the main page.

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
Ugh, finally done with the school year and what summer I had, and now I'm settled down at an internship. So, I still don't have any time, but I talked with Tobi a whooping single time about three weeks ago, and he appeared to like the idea of starting a graphics team and he felt the current logo I'm...

I was hoping Tobi might comment in here. I didn't want to get all up in his grill, without developing anything first.

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
Some play will be allowed, of course, there is always play allowed. AF, what's the point of having standards we're going to stoop as low as to cater to those who don't even know how to open an svg in inkscape, gimp, photoshop or illustrator? What sort of retards do you envision wielding this logo? I...

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
Uh, you never ever reproduce a logo. You take the svg, ai, or pdf that the designer has released and you use that for all applications, and you do not change it unless such changes are authorized in a logo standards sheet. I have made the grunge part of the logo, and part of the vector. I have purch...

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
I'm just now finished with classes, but I have a lot of stuff I have to do. Like move. We'll see if I have time to bust out some color comps. Just a heads up that grundgy version of the logo I showed is not a raster, it's all vector baby. Zsinj, I use a combination of Mister Retro's Machine Wash 4 a...

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
Yeah, that is a possibility, but companies usually only do that after they have secured a base logo that needs a reason for variation.

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
My problem with my flower logo is that is does not work well for small applications, it loses much of it's detail, and therefore grittiness. I've never felt super strong about it, and currently I feel stronger about the logo I just released. That said, the flower logo is something to look at if we w...

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
Hmm. Slowly beginning to work a few things out here. Zsinj got my mind working. Solid feedback. I wasn't thinking about colors when I did those comps. While we may not be able to convince the general spring population of changing the logo. I think I can redesign the current logo with a more destruct...

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
I don't know man, I could do that stuff, but someone is going to shit all over me, and I have school work and freelance work to do that actually matters, rather then stuff that MAY OR MAY NOT BE USED. That said, you're asking the right questions, and that makes me feel good. If you can get the tobis...

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
Yeah, I don't have time to try and stiff arm you guys into a color standards but here is a SVG file with the fonts I recommend we use. And of course the number 2 logo. If you're going to change the logo in it's form, please do so before you start using it, rather then using it and then going willy n...

Re: Identity, and Identity Guidelines
Nothing wrong with the current color scheme of AFs. It's pretty sweet. I was just publicly exploring the the different color combinations of the logo, as well as to show how well it sports subheads. I posted another poll, just to see what people want.
