I would have small mines do 2/3rds the damage of the current medium mine but same explosion radius as the current small, very fast build time (about a second at most), give them the cloak cost only just above 0 and have their damage done against other mines set to 0. Make medium mines have twice the...

I've noticed that sharp shooters can't actually hit anything near the edge of their range (like anything after about an emgs range away from the snipers max weapon range). Is this deliberate to reduce their accuracy or is it a bug? They can't even hit sumos at their max range when given spys to sigh...

You're right i probably should've tested stumpies against something like llts instead but i think you'll find the results are quite similar - especially since llts are even more cost effective being defensive units. Do you recon they should just get removed or beefed up substantially? I think i woul...

Hmm, i haven't tried gremlins properly - they sounds quite handy - ignore what i said about lightning tanks and gremlins. However i did a test of 15 flash tanks v 10 stumpies - numbers are based on the number of flash tanks you can build by the time 10 stumpies are built. Flash tanks utterly shred t...

Here's a thought - maybe bundle afew mods together in the download as a starter pack for new players. So folk looking for AA get EE, Gundam, FF or any other new mod in there as well. That way at least its no real amount of effort to download the mods to try stuff, they just go onto the lobby and say...

Are stumpies (and core equiv) going to get a boost in some way or just removed? Theyre just a tad useless next to gators or flash tanks - too slow in weaponary and movement- and we have riot tanks + the janus for heavier swarm control. Also lightning tanks and gremlins never seem to get used, maybe ...

I would weight the rating by ingame time if anything, although not drastically since it would skew the results too much. The chance to vote for each map could come up as a pop up box but should only come up once -after playing it for the first or second time - it shouldn't become annoying or intrusi...

Forboding Angel said: However, I imagine that most maps don't get played because you have to dredge through tons of crap to find the good ones. It might be a good idea to seperate maps on Unknown files and kin according to who made the map. I think the lobby should be modified to allow easier catego...

Back to talking about ships: I agree with some of what Lord matt said - destroyers do need a nerf but i'm not sure they need a cost reduction with it. Would it be an idea to give corvettes the destroyer deck laser instead? So they better fufill the role of close range combat/ swarm killers. Subs sho...

I'd vote either scale everything up a little or don't change it at all - as i suggested before. If its going to break maps you might as well give yourself more flexibility in the process - which having a larger range of slope tolerances over all units would do. See : http://taspring.clan-sy.com/phpb...

Regarding slope tolerance: The problem seems to me to be between mods and different maps rather than the balance between units slope tolerances within this mod. I would suggest increasing the slope tolerances of all units on this mod by a factor of approx 1.1 or 1.2. (this is just a rough figure we ...

I don't actually expect to be paid for a tiny 6 liner patch - nice as it would be. But seriously everyone here is doing this because they want to. If we introduce this we may get a rush of new developers who as torrasque and JC pointed out won't have their priorities straight. Even if there are rule...

I've already implemented standingMoveOrder and standingFireOrder, the patch was sent to Tobi a while back. He hasn't got back to me to say if its been added to the trunk and i did test it quite thouroughly so i'm assuming it's working if no one says otherwise. Do i get a tiny fraction of the cash fo...

I think mods should have the option, but it sounds like the shockwave blast code needs some efficiency boost. Would it be possible to have, a kind of fake shockwave blast - where insta hit is used but all units within the blast are given delays (based on the distance from the blast centre) on when t...

We should have a new mod, we could call it office wars, staplers and pencils could be your level 1 standard 'tanks' - firing paper clips, staples and led at each other, the you advance onto desks and filing cabinets for the huge 'uber' units - these of course can carry lots of smaller 'tanks' as wel...

I'm currently working on making transports better, faster up/down speeds + new unload methods such as paratroop style drops. So i could add making units drop off and fall when the transport dies an extra tag so its easier to for modders to add in. I could even add in fall damage. Although for transp...

Hi, i can understand how you feel about the controls being overwhelming at first - especially if you havn't played TA or anything with similar controls. But both TA and spring offer much more complexity and control over how you play the game compared to other RTS's. You will find that once you grow ...
