Re: TA v4.0
It's been a while since I've installed Spring, I might do it when I get home tonight. What's the latest and greatest lobby?

Re: TA v4.0
Well, most of the stuff is GPL or similarly non-restrictive of reuse, so why not just create/modify the installer the way you think it should be done? Read my post, I did. AFAIK I'm the only person who's ever made an installer for Spring+BA, but updates were far far too unstable to make it possible...

Re: TA v4.0
Believe me I know. I've been saying the same goddamn thing for years and most mods still have no installers and lobbies are unorganized shit.
And installer isn't that hard, guys.

Re: TA v4.0
Sometimes I imagine what it would be like if a Spring game got a proper one-click installer and a short tutorial campaign. And then reality kicks in. Years ago I made a one-click installer for BA with custom hotkeys and widgets and everything, but everything fucking broke completely with every engin...

Re: Balanced Annihilation Website
Looks good to me. Considering that all the other people where were planning to make one haven't started yet, they should probably just work with you since you have a good looking start already.

Re: 7.4X Balance Change Reasoning
Those statistics are highly misrepresented. Not only does it not represent the majority of players (because 1v1 only requires 2 players) but it includes pw games of friends that have no intention of playing a 1v1 in a competitive way. Over the last 24 hours I would estimate 1 in 6 (sample selection...

Re: ANOTHER BALANCE SUGGESTION THREAD LOLZ
Players balance the gameplay by knowing the rules. Description of BA balance could be that major portion of units can be used but still some units are generally better than others so noobs won't have too steep learning curve and rarely used units are the most fun when used right. Bigtime this. Unit...

Re: 7.4X Balance Change Reasoning
Very informative statistics bimbim, really shows that despite the horrible clog of oversized BA games, that there's a lot of 1v1 still played. The new batch of devs really needs to take that into account, and also the fact that one of the appealing aspects of BA is that it's practically the same gam...

Re: 7.4X Balance Change Reasoning
I was very happy to see that there was an update, after coming back to Spring after a long break for other things. Then I looked at the update notes and they're all blatantly geared directly toward oversized games with people who don't understand build orders or unit mixing or basically how to play ...

Re: PlanetWars online campaign BETA iz now!
Okay, epic victory for zero-k, this will be such a magnet, so i want to be first, for the first time. Not to congratulate, but to utter a complaint. Planetwars ruined Spring for me. There are no longer any 8vs8badsd games. Everyone is playing Planetwars, its filled with canonfoodnubs and they hire ...

Re: Decline in the number of players
Only chance is if Mr. Bob and pyra finish their project and behe ties it all together with a lot of new and shiny effects. Where do you draw the line? some time ago it was we need midgame player rejoin and automatic map download and an ip free version of BA and nicer ui. We have all that now. That'...

Re: Decline in the number of players
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Nothing Spring-related should be promoted until it is stable, playable and all the holes have been ironed out. Otherwise you're wasting effort attracting players that may have stayed around if there wasn't a huge poo sitting right on top of the engine. Peo...
