Re: Need mods?
You will have maps installed with the regular installer unless you specifically deslected them. Perhaps you should try installing again and select at least one map pack and one mod (BA is what most people play).

Re: GhostRadar v1.11 *fixed*
Also, trepan, while having an extra screen and better computer helps a little, I'd say the difference between someone playing a game with two screens vs someone with just one is minimal compared to, say, a person playing with all the top widgets vs someone playing with none. Have you played competi...

Re: GhostRadar v1.11 *fixed*
Nope, you could use any resolution you wanted up to 1600X1200. Perhaps the most glaring issue was the lack of a zoom out feature, which is why once I started playing spring I never went back to OTA.trepan wrote:P.S. Was it OTA that could force a common screen resolution?

Re: New map - Snake Island
A screenshot of the minimap in the thread is probably the minimum needed to get a lot of people to download your map.

Imo it would be nice if new unit would be added or changed existing ones with some aa.

Re: Map/Mod Autodownloading via Clients
Perhaps something could be set up like we have for the installer where a central and reliably up site redirects to a number of mirrors the auto downloads. Mirrors could then be kept up to date with rsync scripts.

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.31
KDR, you know as well as I do that experience can in many ways distort reality, and Lordmatt, it has nothing to do with being a math mod. Evo isn't anywhere close to a math mod, however, if you aren't doing at least some basic math when balancing, ur doin it rong. wtf did I mention evo or you at al...

With wireshark you learn why doing much of anything at all on an unsecured wireless connection is a bad idea.

licho is there a vanilla version of that with no mod preinstalled? Also, would it be able to add modules for mods you decide to install after the fact?

Re: Balanced Annihilation V6.31
Speaking of balance, core has weaker T2 ships beacuse of stupid lazer canons instead of plasma. They should be put back to what they had in OTA, changing the core ship's weapons was a stupid change for the sake of change IMO. Always keep in mind that BA was not balanced according to math but accord...

Re: Inapropriate wiki edit.
I don't think that's really true. That would suggest that modding any game and uploading your content is copyright infringement and Cavedog went out of its way to help modders, who weren't doing something very different from spring's modders.
