Re: Inverse Kinematics animations for Spring in Blender

Scripts are synced for the simulation (consider weapon emission points) so no.

Re: Metal Makers Continuously Switching ON/OFF Bug

Sounds like that version of XTA was not meant to run on that version of the engine. Those functions were deprecated in 102.0 so I suggest trying 101.0 if you can find it.

btw you can do /screenshot to save a screenshot.

Re: Random WIP 2018 / 19 / 20

Simply beautiful.

Unlike this piece of crap, but its more intuitive than the old one hopefully. MCL has sector (as opposed to circular) LOS. Well, actually its a keyhole shape.

Re: Random WIP 2018 / 19 / 20

For those not in the know, it is a filterable menu where you can queue up an order and have to hit 'Submit' to send it through... Pretty much everyone hated it last time MCL was active. Trying to make it a little more intuitive, so now it shows you which filter is active, and the running total text ...

Re: SpringLobby 0.270 released!

When automatically rejoining an autohost after !rehost, the modoptions pane does not refresh correctly, even after the game is updated. I have to leave and reenter.

Problems downloading

Had two guys in MCL autohost (one is regular s44 player) struggling to download anything via the lobby, game, map or engine. Seems to be a global issue atm?

Re: Detection of Metal Makers

It's possible that it is handled entirely through lua so may not be recognizable from unitdef tags, unless perhaps an entry in customParams.

Re: The end of the maintenance branch

I suspect Ares is running the gpl violation engine Zerver worked on. He's not even using the spring engine. I've heard a number of people are still using it and that it's actively sought after purely for FPS edit: nice text substitution I don't see the difference between Beheriths screenshot and Ar...

Yes, and even harder now than back then.

Handing over the BA domain to Ares Floris BA is a community not just one person, please don't confuse any personal issue you have with me, with a group of hundreds of people. Firstly, you wouldn't be giving me anything, its a community site and many BA players contributed to that site in the past a...

Re: The end of the maintenance branch

i7-2700k is from October 2011, i7-4790k is from June 2014.

GTX 780 is form May 2013, RTX 2060 is pretty much brand new.

A fairer comparison would be for Behe to run the same test on both engine versions.

Both show that Spring is pretty amazeballs.

Re: Who Can Set Minimum Engine Version?

Lets consider that argument; why would anyone want to contribute when all they see getting airtime is some old engine from N years ago? How does forcing those people onto their own infrastructure change that? All it means is now you see an even more diminished pool of people playing. There is a crit...
