@Spliff I wonder what kind of micro level you can achieve with this widget of urs. I take it i could be able to fend off 1 sided attack with no problem which means free metal, but if you made AI to attack me from 2 sides and you microed the 3rd i would be possibly bashed couse with my current skill ...

First try forwarding port 8452 UDP on ur router with help from http://www.portforward.com/.
Than check ur software firewalls on ur PC. Like Windows firewall and any 3rd party stuff.

Here's my basic idea. Mind that it would look much nicer with some textures or gradients or shadows or all of those. But i used vector graphics to make it easy. My main points here are use of tabs almost everywhere. I would still prefer to have seperate windows for battle and replays + other things ...

Spring community isn't as bad as you picture it. There are many ppl including me who are happy to help newbies. But don't expect ppl to help you on ur first 5v5 game because they have alot more work on their hands durning game when there's a newbie on their team. I would teach basics to 1000 newbies...

Things that effect entire community (clans, stats...) should always be part of lobby not just an option. Most ppl can't be bothered with configuring spring's "3rd party" addons. You can see how only low percentage of players use excelent TS system or Spring Downloader all because they don'...

I have to say that i agree with AF on this one. Todays standards have moved away from gaming experience towards visual experience, so if you wanna get new players to stick long enough with game to fall in love (get addicted) with it you need to make things like lobby (and homepage) nicer to look at....

Players don't get pulled into game when it starts with new lobby (RC5). Can host normally for ppl with old lobbys tho.

I tested background programs compatibility step by step and found the one causing problems. Thx ZellSF x.x EDIT: ati2evxx.exe - Ati HotKey Poller was the cause of my and Dopewalka's problem. We both managed to fix it by disabling service and than killing process. Dopewalka had to do it in safe mode....

Here are some new observations: Spring engine appears to take up all of my CPU time and other system resources which leads to lag from keyboard and slow response in windows when alt+tabed. Ok, now i tested using evolution. I still have same problem but lags are a bit shorter which is not a surprise since i would imagine that BA is more cpu intensive.
