The Sickle has a terrific jump ability which allows it to go places other units can├óÔé¼Ôäót. I haven├óÔé¼Ôäót used this ability in multiplayer testing yet, but I├óÔé¼Ôäóm looking forward to seeing it in action. Yes, I can confirm that the Bullfrog has the ability to deploy parachuting bears (aka ├...

Re: Idiocy in Online Games
happens a lot more on infantry centric maps where there are no air vehicles... I guess my point is I play the games looking for getting as close to battle as I can without joining the military. Obviously I would join a clan/tournament to more accurately get the kind of realistically visceral battle ...

Re: Idiocy in Online Games
Swift i realize that there are servers that allow that but on the one that i was on it was not mentioned IIRC. It's far worse when no one else on the sever can figure it out and as such can't get up and stop the person and there are no admins nor enough people paying attention to kick the guy off th...

another relatively related article i found off the front page of Planet Battlefield: http://www.bit-tech.net/columns/2008/04 ... g_better/1 The vote system of BF2142etc... suffers from the the lack of interaction that is mentioned in the article. Was on a server around 2 weeks ago where someone was ...

Re: no respect for spring
I think the error you two are having is that it sounds like you, Felix, are suggesting that they make their own separate lobby program. While what WZ wants is for someone to patch TASclient to allow a profile to be loaded at start-up that sets the lobby to filter out everything but mod XYZ and drop ...

Re: Dawn of War 2
It's not really the same game though, the expansions are quite large (WA only had one faction but DC and SS had two each) and are enough content to form a new game on their own IMO. They can just be combined with the older ones to get more factions. lulz they are their own games hence the term stan...

why do people argue about mods???
Cause it's tradition; anything less wouldn't be the Spring community.

Re: Widget request: Ingame Alliances
KDR isn't talking about temporary alliances he is talking about starting a game with set teams 1 and 2 and having those groupings be able to see PM traffic... If you start/launch a team game you don't want one of your allies switching halfway thru because he thinks you are gonna lose or his friend i...

Jeez i can't believe this crap... First off i doubt Krogth86 is trying to be the NEXT BIG THING because thats nigh impossible to do here. still not fixed, the error is here: "If you are in the same team , each of you controls their own units, but you are allied." my suggestions is: If you are allied (you have an identical ally number as another player) each of you controls your own units, but you fight against other players/...

This is like every bad universe vs. universe thread physically manifested.. anyway, two questions:
1. Did you ask the creators for permission to do this?
2. Did you even remotely balance these factions towards each other?
