Are autohost admin bitches of dev ?
Hi, I can play TA (connect to game and play). I played today, all went fine. An hour ago, I joined a game with SL (linux). I could get ready but when the game starts, it is impossible to connect. I tried multiple times it did not worked. I restarted lobby and make new account same results. I contact...

Re: My adventures with Bidirectional path tracing (Update ->) vertex connection and merging
Question: Also can you warp the lightphysics, producing lenses and blackholes? Light physics like lambertian (or any model you like) diffusion, reflexion, refraction, transmission (the 3 with index changing) as well as diffraction: yes You model them all when a ray hits a surface and modeling the p...

Re: My adventures with Bidirectional path tracing (Update ->) vertex connection and merging
Last time i checked, it comes with tenth of examples that you can tune right away and that you can display right after you compile the bins. All in real time (ok, depends on the resolution you use) You can even run it on CPU (optix prime) if you want to integrate it in your C++ code. You don't need ...

Re: berta range-extender
You mean this? Yep. And yes it prove the change of direction in order to hit to a place beyond the place it hit the shield is valid. For range, i am not going to point a replay it can go beyond as you play here since a decade (?). And wind mill could have been MM and game changer, but I don't see t...

Re: TS, game balance proposal
I disagree: the more the games played are split into different TS data, the more there are way for the troll to actually fool around with ts. Because the less there is a data for a ts, the easiest it is to change its value by purposely losing. Also, afaik, there are are filter to already remove game...

Re: berta range-extender
Can you make replay/screenshot how to use shield as range-expander because when I tried the shots were harmlessly be reflected to random near points? basically any replay these days... For example, the first game I play today: http://replays.springrts.com/replay/5dd47556e792ddc6636d4d844ab4ed44/ Ha...

Re: berta range-extender
In that thread, all the people playing actually agree. @8611z: if you are an actual player, please link you account on the replay website so we can see you don't have inactivity points. Sorry for my rudeness in advanced, but your post suggest your player experience comes from DSD-thread on that forum

This hould do the job
Code: Select all
bool repulser Default: false
Does the shield repulse (deflect) projectiles or absorb them? Btw its not repulsOr, but repulsEr!

berta range-extender
Plasma bouncing on a shield will result in shoot being redirected. A skilled player will use that bounced to extend the range of the berta and shoot a target beyond its initial range. Not that I don't think that is fun, but in a game the most successful strategy to win consist to eco, porc and make ...

Re: Radar LOS does not show anymore
Any reason why los is not enable per default and activated per default at the start of each new game for anyone who download BA for the first time ? Most veteran getting fed up of explaining ingame what LOS is and why radar is so important, then you have to explain the "l" thing, the "...

Re: Springlobby freezing longer than 60sec
FYI, the problem appeared at iso-spring-version. Also, my SL, my spring engine, as well my ~./config/spring directories are all mounted on normal HD (no ssd). So the issue is either due to SL or to a lib that is used by SL.

Re: Tacit Support for Anti-Noob Trolling by Confirmed Players
The strong incentive I can see are: - increase their TS so they have a harder time to win but that is not fair for the rest of the team. - prevent them to use some units or give them penalty in any way (starting ressources lower, ..). Once again, that also damage the team. So both damage the team th...

Re: Springlobby freezing longer than 60sec
It is due to the replay folder being too big and it comes from some changes since the last version as I mentioned : https://springrts.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=64&t=31224&start=200#p573665 Long hang out also results in crashes as I mentioned. You have no other solution than empty the demo fo...

Re: im(BA)-FFA with more than 4 players isn't balanced
Talking about BA: Ecoing as much as you can is the best way to win the game. It has somehow always be, but at a different level. The reason players are only building defence and ecoing is part of the BA mod design. Defence (t1 pop up flam pop up and other t2 defences) are some of the only unit left ...
